    ... we are camped next to Susie lake and a beautiful lake she is! I think they named her after my beautiful wife Suzi, they just screwed up the spelling! My friend Bill Gay or "Balloo the bear" (PCT name), has been talking about this lake ever since he and his son Brandon "Goofy" hikes past it on their 900 mile PCT section hike in 2012.     Today we decided to ride our motorcycle to Truckee, CA. Our first stop was to hike down to to Vikingsholm, a home built to emulate a Viking home in Scandinavia. It was completed in September 1929. There are even sod roofs growing on the two wings of the house. This stunning creation overlooks Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe.
