    Smelly, dirty, and crooks too.....

    from

The reviews written about this hotel must be written by the hotel staff.

This place is smelly, our nonsmoking room reaked of cigarettes and hairspray. The room was dirty, as there were black stains from on the walls from just never having been washed. I pulled back the sheets on my bed to expose a huge black hair in the bed. The sheets seemed dirty, I had to go to Wal-Mart to buy my own sheets to sleep on. The picture of the building in the photos reveals a nice, clean beach, the beach was full of seaweed and the pool was dirty. The doors in the room don't exactly close properly. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

As a testament to this, if you visit the company's website, you will notice that there are almost no actual pictures of the rooms in their hotels, just drawings, reason being, because they are dirty.

As if this wasen't enough, when we checked in, we were told we were being charged for all 3 nights when we stayed. When I got home to open up my statement, I discovered an additional charge for which they claimed was legit, I never even signed for this charge and was told there was no balance upon check out.

Bottomline, overpriced and dirty, beware, stay elsewhere...

    Great for Families

    from

Recently we went to Panama City Beach and stayed at the Beachcomber by the Sea Hotel. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and the rooms were spacious and clean. Nothing was overlooked in the kitchenette as even dishes and pots and pans were made availiable for our cooking convenience. It was located close enough to all of the major attractions that we did not spend all of our time traveling back and forth. Many coupons and brochures were made availiable in the hotel lobby to help save a few dollars. There was a continental breakfast provided but, if you really want to store up enough energy for your busy day, you may consider breakfasting elsewhere. I also noticed that they had an over night security guard that kept a good handle on noise and a close watch on your vehicles. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to families and those looking for a quiet vacation spot with beautiful views.

    Beachcomber is clean and quite

    from

The Beachcomber was very clean and quite for the 4th of July week. All the staff was nice and helpful including the Secruity Guard. Two things my family and I did not like about this hotel was the hot tub was cold and dirty and the pool was locked after hours which closed off easy access to the beach. If your out on the beach after lockdown- good luck in finding a way back to the front of the hotel.

    Beach Comber is good

    from

I stayed overnight at the BeachComber hotel at Panama City Beach June 28, 2003 for 1 night. I've learned that it is extremely hard to get 1 night stays on the beach but if it is all the time that you have....there is not much you can do about that. After 2:00 pm when they assumed that they were not going to be renting out the extra rooms that they were holding for 3-night rentals...they decided to let us have one for 1-night. We had talked to the reservation clerk on the phone before we got there and they told us it would be no problem for them to honor the travel coupon price for us since they still had rooms. But, when we got there the desk clerk was not so hospitable regarding the price. I had to argue my point with her since I felt it was not my problem that there was miscommunication between the reservation clerk and the desk clerk. She was not going to give me that rate until I asked for the owners name. She did end up giving me the discounted rate but it just kind of set the tone for a not so hospitable atmosphere. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean which is what matters the most to me.

    Best Vacation Ever

    from

My Husband,2 daughters andI vacationed here in August 2000. We had the best time. The hotel was so clean, and the pool area is great . you can see and hear the ocean no matter where you are at beachcomber. which I loved. The beach area is clean, and everyone was so nice and helpful. We can't wait for our next vaction cause this is where we are staying. Thanks for such A memorible vacation guys.THE RIVERS FAMILY.

Liked the beachcomber by the sea,but

    from

Overall the staff went out of there way to make sure we had a pleasent experience. The maid's were so very nice and the front desk clerks with the exception of one very RUDE night desk clerk. She went out of her way to be nasty.I will contact the management about her.And i will also let them know how everyone else was so kind. This was our 2nd stay here. The first time was wonderful with spacious clean rooms with excellent balconies.I will stay there again.

    Beachcomber Worth an extra buck

    from

My stay at the beachcomber was really pleasant. Excellent view from our balcony. Big comfortable rooms, and a nice kitchenette. Ceasars across the street had great deals on food and beer, the staff was generally polite and helpful.

    Too Far Away

    from

I Stayed ath the Beahcomber for spring break

It is a nice hotel, great oceanfront room with a balcony.

If you want to be in the action, this is not the hotel to stay at. it is to far from all of the bars and action-15 to 25 minute cab ride.

Tiki bar is close to the hotel, that is kinda cool/

The rooms are big w/ a kitchenette, that is nice

If you are going to party for spring break i suggest staying at another hotel.

    Great view!

    from

I was very satisfied with my stay here. The rooms were clean and the beach view from my private balcony was spectacular! It had all the amenities I could think of. The only thing I had a problem was one of the staff at the front desk was extremely rude and unfriendly to me. She thought I was trying to sneak someone in when I wasn't. She made this wrong assumption just because I was Asian and there was another Asian person seen walking in with me. She thought we were together so she thought I was lying when I was booking the room for one adult. Shame on her.

    Stay Here!

    from

This place has a wonderful ocean view! All rooms have balconies, facing the ocean, above the beach, so you can't loose! Beach-chair rental place right on the beach by the hotel. The water could not be nicer! Staff was friendly and practically "bend-over backwards" to see that you get or find what you're looking for. Pool was fairly small, but had this cute little "waterfall type" thing and the ocean was right there, so that made up for it. They also have beautiful palm trees all over the area, including around the pool and hot-tub. Everything looked so tropical. All together, the hotel was one of my favourite ones in Panama City. I stay here almost every time I take my Florida vacation. Stay here!

... Thankful Rick saw it and fixed it. Camper#4: trim was coming off next to door and flapping on way to South Carolina. Thankful we saw it and was able to save it and put it back on when we got to Myrtle beach. Red light: on day #2 Lubbock almost got us. In trying to re-find the highway a red light that had no business being on a 4 lane highway had rachel yelling, in elevating volumes... red light RED light RED LIGHT! thankful we made the red light. Being lazy today, supposed to rain but it's missed us so far. Went on 2.4 mile bike ride to one of the dune lakes in this state park called Campbell lake. Glad it's cloudy today, not really a swimming lake. The sun would have made this bike ride super hot. With the cloud cover its just ...

Wow the beaches here are aMAZing. And remember that crawfish that should have fed 2 but we had about 1/2 of it left over? Made crawfish salad today, kind of like chicken salad only WAY better. Gonna have to get more crawfish after my hands heal from the last batch, ...
