Louise made us a lovely curry later that night. Nom nom nom. Can't wait for Indian food when we get back to England.

Feeling refreshed we emerged from the cinema and set out to find a local favorite of "Hunt's Oyster Bar". My hair dresser earlier had said it's the place to go, although I was not expecting too much as she had also recommended I checkout "Chick-Fil-A" (Which is basically an east coast KFC).

Boys are still in Tallahassee, so I got to spend time w my sisters, taking them to see the houses I saw & they loved my favorite one! We laugh so hard when we're together! Lunch at Finn's & I am learning my way around pcb! Picked up the boys & got ready to leave for northern Alabama. Went over to visit w one of my favorite people, Shea's mom, Wendy. I just love her! Historical Traveler Reviews Beachcomber by the Sea Panama City Beach
The reviews written about this hotel must be written by the hotel staff.
Recently we went to Panama City Beach and stayed at the Beachcomber by the Sea Hotel. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and the rooms were spacious and clean. Nothing was overlooked in the kitchenette as even dishes and pots and pans were made availiable for our cooking convenience. It was located close enough to all of the major attractions that we did not spend all of our time traveling back and forth. Many coupons and brochures were made availiable in the hotel lobby to help save a few dollars. There was a continental breakfast provided but, if you really want to store up enough energy for your busy day, you may consider breakfasting elsewhere. I also noticed that they had an over night security guard that kept a good handle on noise and a close watch on your vehicles. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to families and those looking for a quiet vacation spot with beautiful views.
Beachcomber is clean and quite
The Beachcomber was very clean and quite for the 4th of July week. All the staff was nice and helpful including the Secruity Guard. Two things my family and I did not like about this hotel was the hot tub was cold and dirty and the pool was locked after hours which closed off easy access to the beach. If your out on the beach after lockdown- good luck in finding a way back to the front of the hotel.
I stayed overnight at the BeachComber hotel at Panama City Beach June 28, 2003 for 1 night. I've learned that it is extremely hard to get 1 night stays on the beach but if it is all the time that you have....there is not much you can do about that. After 2:00 pm when they assumed that they were not going to be renting out the extra rooms that they were holding for 3-night rentals...they decided to let us have one for 1-night. We had talked to the reservation clerk on the phone before we got there and they told us it would be no problem for them to honor the travel coupon price for us since they still had rooms. But, when we got there the desk clerk was not so hospitable regarding the price. I had to argue my point with her since I felt it was not my problem that there was miscommunication between the reservation clerk and the desk clerk. She was not going to give me that rate until I asked for the owners name. She did end up giving me the discounted rate but it just kind of set the tone for a not so hospitable atmosphere. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean which is what matters the most to me.
Best Vacation Ever
My Husband,2 daughters andI vacationed here in August 2000. We had the best time. The hotel was so clean, and the pool area is great . you can see and hear the ocean no matter where you are at beachcomber. which I loved. The beach area is clean, and everyone was so nice and helpful. We can't wait for our next vaction cause this is where we are staying. Thanks for such A memorible vacation guys.THE RIVERS FAMILY.
Liked the beachcomber by the sea,but
Overall the staff went out of there way to make sure we had a pleasent experience. The maid's were so very nice and the front desk clerks with the exception of one very RUDE night desk clerk. She went out of her way to be nasty.I will contact the management about her.And i will also let them know how everyone else was so kind. This was our 2nd stay here. The first time was wonderful with spacious clean rooms with excellent balconies.I will stay there again.
Beachcomber Worth an extra buck
My stay at the beachcomber was really pleasant. Excellent view from our balcony. Big comfortable rooms, and a nice kitchenette. Ceasars across the street had great deals on food and beer, the staff was generally polite and helpful.
Too Far Away
I Stayed ath the Beahcomber for spring break
It is a nice hotel, great oceanfront room with a balcony.
If you want to be in the action, this is not the hotel to stay at. it is to far from all of the bars and action-15 to 25 minute cab ride.
Tiki bar is close to the hotel, that is kinda cool/
The rooms are big w/ a kitchenette, that is nice
If you are going to party for spring break i suggest staying at another hotel.
I was very satisfied with my stay here. The rooms were clean and the beach view from my private balcony was spectacular! It had all the amenities I could think of. The only thing I had a problem was one of the staff at the front desk was extremely rude and unfriendly to me. She thought I was trying to sneak someone in when I wasn't. She made this wrong assumption just because I was Asian and there was another Asian person seen walking in with me. She thought we were together so she thought I was lying when I was booking the room for one adult. Shame on her.
This place has a wonderful ocean view! All rooms have balconies, facing the ocean, above the beach, so you can't loose! Beach-chair rental place right on the beach by the hotel. The water could not be nicer! Staff was friendly and practically "bend-over backwards" to see that you get or find what you're looking for. Pool was fairly small, but had this cute little "waterfall type" thing and the ocean was right there, so that made up for it. They also have beautiful palm trees all over the area, including around the pool and hot-tub. Everything looked so tropical. All together, the hotel was one of my favourite ones in Panama City. I stay here almost every time I take my Florida vacation. Stay here!
