Beachcomber Island Resort

Although we'd completed the Fiji Experience proper, we had also booked a night on an island as part of our package. We'd decided to leave this until 1st November, so we spent 31st mainly sat around the pool at our hotel doing very little. When we did leave the pool briefly, it was only to check the internet; which unfortunately revealed our credit card provider had become unusually avaricious and left us in our overdraft - necessitating an emergency text home asking for cash! Well it was decided for time and money that the party island was the place to be. Beachcomber like all the other fiji islands is a ton of money and has a very noisy night life. Though it is an easy place to find out about other backpackers and places worth checking out for our next stop. Most of the people there are from Australia so gathering info is becoming easier. BULA!!! I have arrived safely in FIJI. Slept most of the way here. Went to Beachcomber resort. It was fun times. I learned the 'BULA DANCE' - think macarena on sand, met lots of fun characters - including one whole mourned that he peaked at 28. Next Year will be my year!!! Mida päev edasi, seda hiljem ärkame, aga siiski pole suutnud kauem magada kui poole seitsmeni. Hommikune asjade pakkimine, check out Uprising resortist ning teeleasumine Nadi poole. Seal anname oma vapra Toyotsi ära ja suundume edasi väikesele saarele Beahcomber, mis on kuulu järgi õige saar noorele reisijale - palju meelelahutust ja rannaspordialasid ja õhtuti pidu. Otsustasime tulla 2-ks ööks ja see oli täiesti paras aeg. Jõudsime sõita hobby cat'iga, snorgeldada, sukelduda, lihtsalt rannas...

Sukeldumine 2. päeva hommikul tuli suht spontaanselt, vähemalt Annele J. Ärkasin mingi seitsme paiku ja tekkis mõtesiin pole veel sukeldutud ning kuulu järgi pidid olema siin ägedad korallid. Sammusingi sukeldumiskeskusesse, kus ühe vanaga sai tiba konsulteeritud erinevate sukeldumiste osas. Selgus, et meid huvitav koralli sukeldumine läheb välja juba tunni pärast. Alright so I have a lot of catching up to do. It's amazing how disconnected you feel while being away from a computer for a few days but I have to admit...it is kind of nice...just for a while. What can I say. What am amazing place. I felt like I was in paradise. The main island itself i found pretty **** as theres not much to do there and the beaches are full of volcanic ash and makes the sea water dirty so its impossible to snorkel. We took most peoples advice and went island hopping. (its made up of over 300 we read up and picked what we thought were the best ones). I spoke to some British girls at lunch who stayed in the same dorm as me when I had my bug incident. They said my mattress was left outside to air all day yesterday. One of the girls took a closer look at the mattress and said it was crawling with bed bugs, the culprits of my bites, no doubt. Maybe a few mosquito's were involved in the feast too, little *******s! After a short flight, I arrived in Nadi to a group of guys playing guitars & singing welcome songs. Everyone was really friendly & helpful at the airport & it was a great first impression! The hotel bus picked me up with some other backpackers & we drove to Nadi Bay Resort. There I booked an island hopping trip to leave the next day & went for dinner with a French girl called Caroline, who I discovered was on the same boat as me in the morning.
