... City Hall. There was a children's event there where you could climb into, on and around various municipal trucks, police cats, fire tenders, etc. It all looked good fun and a good PR exercise for the council.
We then walked down Miracle Mile, an old regeneration initiative that encouraged small shops to prosper in Coral Gables. Its founder, George Merrick, has his statue outside of City Hall.

My son Nicolas and I hustled our way out the door to the pond at the end of the block. Wouldn't you know it, no peacock bass to be seen! We did see some really big largemouth bass, one 4 lb plus. ... To imaging something being built 1450-1540 on a mountain top of this scale is amazing. Our 3 hours were not enough but we have a ship to catch.
