... back in February when I came to Watamu for the first time to visit and get some diving done with a friend of mine at Ocean Sports, a dive place called Aqua Ventures. After that visit, Steve managed to talk me into going to Mozambique with him and his friends from Zimbabwe. So I did that! I went to Mozambique for one week, the last week of February. Just before I'm about to leave Turtle HQ for the week, Kahindi brings in a huge, sick turtle in the back of the jeep. She has been floating around and has lots of algae, barnacles and parasites over her shell and skin and has leeches stuck to her eyes. Not pleasant. She weighs ...
