... to take us from Consuelito to Vasca, which is a different way to get there than I have ever taken. We noticed menacing rain clouds, so we knew we had to be quick if we were going to get back to the road before we got soaked! (Dominicans don't ever go out in the rain...I think they think it's like acid!)

... before the apartment was actually ready for me to move into. Needless to say, I was not impressed to have spent the day waiting around in the school where I will be working. However, I must remember that I am back in the DR, and that there is no such thing as North American logic here...or punctuality. In the end, I am very happy for finally be settled into a place that will be MINE, and there is much comfort in knowing that I will not being moving for the next year!
