... purchased from Costco. They demanded that I throw away all of it and was going to charge us $20 US dollars to put it in an incinerator. It was difficult to see all our newly bought fruit and vegetables get tossed into the garbage. I can understand their concerns about bugs but the tomatoes where just perfect to go into a salad or sandwich. I hate seeing good food being thrown away like that. However, I must remember that I am back in the DR, and that there is no such thing as North American logic here...or punctuality. In the end, I am very happy for finally be settled into a place that will be MINE, and there is much comfort in knowing that I will not being moving for the next year!

... food and clothing costs, let alone the cost of a surgery of this magnitude. As one can well imagine, his parents are devastated, and they are at a loss for what to do. They wanted to talk to me because they know that I am a Rotarian, and they know that I came from a school that was very generous with school supply donations. They are hoping that I may be able to ask for help in Canada, as they really have no other means ...
