No Passport? No Problem

... way and wish I could figure them out beforehand. Sometimes though, I like to take on these challenges, learn how to overcome them and take what I can from them. Perhaps life would be to boring without them.

Things I wish I would have brought:
- CASH, I should have know this from previous travel experiences
- A book to read
- A camping guide book
- My Spanish phrasebook
- Compass
- GPS Navigation System (if I had the dinero)

Drive, Drive, Drive

After my class I left at 9:00 a.m. for Price, my hometown, which is where my brother Logan lives with my mom.  It's about two hours away, so I stopped in Price to get him, pack some camping gear, eat lunch, and we went on our way.  We drove about 10 hours to Imperial Sand Dunes and camped there that night.  Just a lot of driving.  Nothing too exciting about that!

My Very First Adventure

... cow intestine burrito and chocolate cover grass hoppers. I had such a wonderful adventure there that after it was over I knew I was hooked. I knew then what I still know now that in my short life on earth I want nothing more than than to see it all, experience all the wonders of this beautiful earth and the people on it. Lucky for me I met a wonderful man who loves to travel as much as me and we ...

... bunnies running around. I couldn't keep my eyes off them. I love bunnies, what can I say. Anyhow, the trail provided many interesting facts about the sea as well as the wildlife there. The refuge was established as a sanctuary and breeding ground for birds and wild animals in 1930. The place provided a nice scenery of the sea.

Just an hour until we start riding!

Friends, Family, and Co-workers Well it's 9:00 AM and we are currently driving through Yuma looking for an Auto shop. No, we don't need a lube job on the bikes, but we do have a second car in the caravan that has dashboard flashing red warning lights. With today's technology you often can't distinguish between a warning that your windshield wiper fluid is low, or that three of the four bolts holding ...

And now, back by popular demand, today's Full Tank and Flat Tire Reflections: - Blake Flat Tire for the day is the heat! - Blake's Full Tank for the day was the ride down the coast. - Giovanna's Flat Tire for the day was leaving Sophia, Cooper, Molly and Hobbes. - Giovanna's Full Tank getting to see the last night of the Democratic National Convention in English!

Escape from Los Angeles!

... just haven't done it yet, but will do it someday...blah, blah, blah. When I was a little grommet, my mom and dad didn't want me to ride motorcycles...so of course, I was determined to ride them...the engine noise itself makes my blood boil, makes the hair on my arms standup, my legs tingle, my eyes swell up, and I just feel like screaming! Literally, I can barely control myself...let me tell you...the first time I heard a ...

Day Two - Reality Sets In

... behind me, but it was much slower going than I had thought it would be. For those of you who haven't taken the backroads through the desert before, believe me when I tell you there is a whole lot of nothing in some parts of this world. I was way past the point where the hoot owls were hookin up with the chickens. In my last 50 miles before I got into town, I was passed by 2 cars. Roads were pretty ...

Almost There!

... When this doesn't work, you have to go inside and pay for the gas before you start pumping. Every gas station is different and you never know what to expect so it always take a while to get things flowing. It was late and very dark by the time we got to El Centro and found a little RV park just a few miles from the US-Mexico border. Nothing fancy, but it was just off the highway and very convenient. A perfect staging area for tomorrow's border crossing.

Day 1: Setting Sail

... Something tells me that either Michael or I will see her on a Northwest flight soon. Hrvoje (Hur - vô - yay), our head waiter was quite the character. Thank goodness he said it would be okay for us to call him HR. But we all found it enjoyable to try to pronounce his name (Michael has it down pat). From Croatia, our waitere hasn't been in the states long enough to lose his accent completely. But he has quite an American sense of humor, and he kept us entertained throughout ...
