Did I mention it was hot?

Lunch was great (there was free beer).

After lunch, we drove for 50 minutes to "Silk Street" which is supposed to be famous for lots of stores that sell silk.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge bust and the trip turned out to be for naught.

We wandered around some markets for a while and went to a nice lake where you can see the beautiful (smoggy) ...

... on the sides to indicate where you should put your feet. And then you squat. Now don't get me wrong, I am all about squatting, even in western toilets, but the problem is being the lack of splashguards. Do all Chinese people have fecal covered ankles? Plus, there is NEVER any toilet paper or soap to speak of. That one speaks for itself. Needless to say, I was going through antibacterial like it was water, now having to wash my hands and legs!

... a small cities with populations of 6 million. In Wuxi we visited the Li Garden, a very pretty peaceful garden on the edge of Kai lake, one of the largest lakes in China. The garden was built by a wealthy nobleman about 600 years ago as a display of thanks for his good fortune.
