    ... been told we need to have a look. Strange how some places can just grab your imagination and even before we have checked into a caravan park, Charl and I have decided we need to stay for a while. We find a caravan park at the mouth of the Richmond River where we are made very welcome. Although the park is fairly full we are able to secure a good site and then things get better.     ... the storm went on and on and on. Never mind tomorrow is another day and so looking forward getting to our apartment at Tweed Heads only 90 Km to go. Had a little accident passenger window left open for half hour during the worst of the weather . No ones fault as John had parked up so we all know who was to blame. Ha!! P.s.     ... On the way to the cape we were walking through bush and we saw a Goanna lizard which was nearly as long as I am tall, and a snake, as well as plenty of wild turkeys who made it past xmas apparently. Lucky they live in Aus and not UK.....     ... Byron were heaps better than those in Nimbin for clothes, souvenirs, etc.

    We went to Mullumbimby and had a walk around and had a nice lunch in a little cafe there.

    Then it was back to Byron Bay for a drumming lesson, wooo hooo :-)

    ... waves was near impossible. After a couple of hours the boat returned to harbour and we were freezing. We found a nearby beach and had our sausage sandwiches with a good brew. All that was left was for Dave to drive a considerable distance to our next campsite in Ballina. As usual the weather was ruining the drive slightly - we haven't been blown away by Australia yet.
