... Dev for another 90 minutes...he came in tired, happy and hungry...he grabbed a coke and a Mei Gorang (Noodles) and we chilled with Suki at Froggies, Kina bought some sun glasses (from a vendor) and we scootered home...Great session and day!

We headed back the next day with Kina and Rieko and headed out again and had some great rides. I was only able to get the last small wave Dev caught on film as grabbed the camera at the end of the session....all amazing...

Late start today; breakfast at 9 o'clock. Fairly ordinary breakfast here at Gazebo. The usual eggs anyway you'd like them, toast, nasi goreng, mie goreng, what they call American breakfast, cheese, tomato and ham, assorted tropical fruit and decent mango juice! They drive on the opposite side of the road and even though there's very little traffic here, it's still a bit scary.

... with the town and we also took a walk into the rice fields. The place was beautiful in such a different way to Gili. Very green and spiritual. We caught up with Zoe and Vernoica after they came back from their tour over dinner. They said they had a great time and made us really look forward to do a tour in Ubud. Tomorrow we will explore more of Ubud. I'll let you know how it ...

      Explorations in Kuta

A travel blog entry by brynandnate on Jan 07, 2014

We swapped hotels to make money last, and are actually in another really nice hotel! We really got lucky with this one. It is like one we stayed in during our time in Delhi- small but clean and modern rooms, great internet... and this one comes with a pool!

So, Kuta is a strange place. It is very built up, and there are high end brand name stores everywhere for the first few streets back from the beach. However, if you walk further ...
