      Bali down day

A travel blog entry by hanjolo on Dec 16, 2014

Fairly admin heavy day, full of flight bookings, hotel organising, printing off for our insurance claim (for the cancelled flight in Malaysia), laundry and other bits we just needed to get done.

Not as relaxing as we had hoped but we did get a decent lie in (the beds there are superb!) and even had a cheeky swim after lunch at Old Faithful; Cendana.

We really enjoyed our short stay in Sidemen. Next we're heading to the beaches of Canggu in the south of Bali.

oh ya...during a walk in the village, a spectacular pink moth flew on Lise and landed on her leg! It just stayed there...Lise pet it! (She's been dying to pet something! Not allowed to pet any stray animals...no rabbies shot) lolll

Back at Topi Inn for a beer before bedtime, we met up with David and Lucy again and had a good chat about our day and recommended they tried White Sand Beach for a snorkel. We’ve got David’s details now so depending on where we end up, may well look him up if we hit ...

... Nyoman the third, and the fourth is Ketut. If you're lucky enough to be number five, the cycle starts over with Wayan. Scuba diving here was a little more intense than the relaxed "shore side entries" of Tulamben. Instead, 12 of us packed into a tiny boat like sardines and attempted to conquer the ocean. Remember how I said that we couldn't go to the Gili Islands due to crazy waves? Well, these were the waves our tiny boat had to conquer to ...

      Abound in Ubud

A travel blog entry by ablo on Oct 24, 2013

... duties very seriously. After a couple of hours we got back in the car and headed for Ubud. Arrived just after 1500 and I went to find us some accommodation. Found a lovely little hotel with pool and balconies for a good price. Had some retail therapy in a silver jewellery store (shops in Ubud were the first we’ve seen where we’ve wanted to buy anything) and then wandered into the 'sacred’ monkey ...
