    Today was my big snorkelling day in which I was taken by boat to three interesting snorkelling spots. At two of them I had to actually swim around the islands against the current while my driver snoozed. Saw lots of interesting coral(eg fan, brain, etc) and and literally viewed thousands of fish including a pair of smiling barracuda. Every time I snorkel I enjoy it but ...

    ... life. The current was very strong on one side of the rocks so it was a really hard swim but worth the effort! Then we stopped at the beach which was pure white sand and not at all hot to the touch with crystal clear water.I was only knee deep in the water when I spotted relatively large fish just milling around!     ... swimming, snorkeling, fishing as well as the more adventurous days when we head off hiking through the jungle to Salang Beach which is a good 3 hour hike, or Monkey Bay which is a bit closer and even Juara Beach on the other side of the island, and organising what food we will have in the evening.     ... of the que! The ferry takes an hour to load and 2 hours for the journey, It would surely be a boring ride if it wasn't for the family of 4 kids wrestling and amusing themselves (and us) for most of the journey. The kids don't know it, but in the event of capsizing, they'll get the life jackets first and looking around - there's no way near enough jackets for all of us. I ignore this fact and watch the next match.
