    First Scuba Trip!

    I believe in my last post I mentioned that we were going to be going on our first scuba diving trip at a spot two hours outside of Bangkok. Well, we did go on our first scuba trip but discovered that when leaving Bangkok on a Friday mid-afternoon a two hour trip actually takes four hours. The first two hours to get out of Bangkok and the remaining two hours to get to our final location. WOW the traffic is something else!!!

    ... your hand. They pull over and you jump in the back. If it is full, you hold on to the back and ride the bumper. You pay when you ring the bell to get off.

    I have to transfer to a different baht bus to get to the bus station. A bus taxi (looks just like a baht bus) pulls up while I am walking, waiting on my baht bus.

    "150 baht" he says.

    "No", I tell him. "I will wait for the baht bus".

    "100 baht" he says, "Long way."

    ... the clasps out of scrap metal. It was truly amazing to watch. While we had lunch (noodles) Non glued our bracelets to the clasps and let them dry. Between lunch and our arvo ride I read (Water For Elephants). Our arvo ride went fairly quickly but it was good.     ... caught a tuk tuk to Underwater World (25min drive). It was pretty disappointing. It was so small and the animals weren't very happy. We tried to make the most of it though. We then caught a tuk tuk to the Floating market. We had sticky rice and mango. Eric and I went in the Water Ball. It was a lt f fun but it felt as though you were in a plastic bag.
