    ... for a 30 hour crossing. During the journey fishing lines were set and we hooked onto something big! Bill volunteered and worked for about an hour to pull in his first Blue Marlin weighing almost 300 lbs and 9 feet long! Very exciting!     Puntarenas is the capital of Costa Rica and is home to 4.5 million people. It is a country of agriculture (bananas, coffee, tobacco, pineapples, apples, mangos, kiwi, guavas, and melons) along with vegetables.

    ... with waves … yes I know I’m crazy. This is where I also met the family from France, nice folks with whom I hung out with for the rest of the afternoon between surfing, wave-catching and chilling on the sand.     ... Playa Hermosa (surfing & party? Mecca) and then onto Jaco again so Drew could look for some souvenirs.

    Kids surfed a bit in the late afternoon and then off to Amigos for dinner again. It was fabulous. I loved by Tacos Pollo and Drew said his plantains were amazing.

    Boy, folks have a great work ethic here. Remember our lifeguard, Jorge? He's out here by 6:30 every morning and doesn't leave his post until 4:30-5:00pm.
