We spent some time watching the seals then jumped back in the car.
The petrol was getting pretty low, and we were thinking we should have filled up before we left...
So we kept driving along the coast and came to a petrol station/tourism/hotel area to fill up.
It took us a while trying to find the button for the fuel cover, and we ended up having to ask the guys in the store!

A lovely sunny day so we enjoyed then just watching the seals for a while & the view across the bay to Alcatraz. Decided to catch a cab to the top of Lombard Street then the cable car back to Union Square - not quite as simple as it sounds as firstly there were long queues for the taxi, then for ...

... Fran, was a beautiful district – lots of rainbow flags, penis-shaped cookies and a tragic yet inspiring history. J.Jo was incredibly well spoken and rattled off a few spiles about the history of Castro, the various groups of people who have lived there, and the whole Harvey Milk era. I knew a bit about it but nowhere near what I know now, especially regarding Milk’s assassination. It was pretty depressing, but also incredible to ...
