My friend, Miss P, is one hell of a host.  We have stayed on the beaches of Santa Monica, Hipsterville Centre that is the Arts District, Downtown LA and she had one more place to take me. Palm Springs.  So we left LA and headed East and then south...we did sort of see Barstow, but I'm afraid the were no drugs...no fear or loathing. Or ...

Fast forward to Monday the 29th, dad decided to skip Phoenix and go all the way to Palm Springs, CA. Yes, ...

... 8217;t surprising. We continued on, thinking surely we would see people cars at any time. We walked forever and weren’t sure why we hadn’t reached Matt yet. Keep in mind, I was still barefoot during this whole duration, hiking over rocks, through course sand, etc.

At one point I saw a very large insect. I wasn’t convinced it was dead, despite how still it was, so I didn’t stop near it to take a picture. It had to be about ...

... I still remember the small one we had (small in comparison to these) digging prickles into my shoulder while I carted it all the way to Wagga, these ones would leave scars for sure. And just by chance I also stumbled upon General Patton's Memorial Museum. Smack bang in the middle of the Californian desert. I wasn't even looking for it I was just pulling up for gas, so it was quite a surprise to find it in the same carpark ...
