... crazy or what!
The next morning we signed up for a 1/2 day, 3 stop boat trip (see picture) to go snorkeling. The water is very clear and blue with may different types of fish, It was a great day!
Our last day we took a cab to the “Money Bar Beach” (I guess they call it that because the price of the drinks) and enjoyed a day of tanning and some snorkeling.
... Maple Leafs 3-0. Funny tthat we had to come all the way to Mexico to watch hockey. Karl ordered a beer and good fortune was on our side - it was 2 for 1! After the game we played a card game they translated for us as 'One'. Clever Karl figured out they were talking about Uno.
Settled in well and are off to Cuba today.
... up the sun, diving etc. am now in land at San Cristobal de las Casas and heading down into Guatemala in the next day or two. More pictures will follow, but for now am re-posting those that I put on facebook before.. I hope everyone is well and enjoying getting up for work in the mornings! Sorry, couldn't resist! Cheers, Dave.
Puerto Morelos, Mexico surledep... a few inquires today and visited the Brirish Embassy to see if hey can help. For the meant time and hopefuly not for long, i´ll be stuck in Cancun, in m sisters house, which is not too bad, by myself. It wouldn´t be so bad if here was a TV, but nadda. I´ll guess i´ll have to just cruise the stri, in the jeep, top down. I pray for a Christmas miralce so that i may leave the land of the useless muchkins and make home in time for pudding.
Cancun, Mexico grahamskyner... unfortunate, and we were assured that the day would have more people and a different boat. The day dives were good, visability not as good as it could´ve been but still able to see plenty, we both got our weights and bouyance right first time, so we must be improving. We think Robert had a slight leak on his tank as his air disappeared a lot quicker than mine and we´re usually about the same rate. We told our guide, George that he ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico knotty... and I had the Rack of Ram with potatoes and veggies. Overall it was quite tasty. We didn't have room for dessert so we passed. We went back to the room and sat on the porch. At night they show a concert projected on the backside of another hotel. We could see it from our balcony so we sat out there and watched Yanni and his crew while we tried the Cuban cigar Chad had purchased earlier. By 12 we were ready for bed.
Cancun, Mexico jaclynandchad... of Mexico the power of the dollar weakens and the peso takes it rightfull place again. The coast is beautifull. White beaches, tourquise warm waters, nice snorklling, great swimming. If your looking for backpacker beach life its still hanging in there at Tulum, but i doubt for much longer. Luxary cabanas, expensive retuarants and plots of land just waiting for resorts to be built on them are appearing. Tulum is also home to the most expensive potatoes in the world! In ...
