Surprisingly despite having my back covered for most of the day and trying to get a tan on my front i managed to burn my back! That'll teach me to try and get a tan. Besides i best not bother because when i shave off my beard, i'll have half a white face. From now on you can call me the joker!

... as the island would have been, but it's not that busy, and there are much quieter beaches if you walk a bit further, which I'm happy to do.

It's lovely to have nothing to do, I don't need to feel guilty about sitting on the beach, walking, reading and just lounging about at my bungalow.

... monkeys everywhere. This was the first time I had seen monkeys in the wild and they were really amazing little creatures, playing and running up the trees and hanging from each others tails. I would have happily stayed there for hours!

That evening we took the short walk to Phra Nang Bay to watch the sunset. There were very few people about and the beach was incredible. The sunset was really beautiful.
