    I had promised Alex a day without travel, so we took it here in the Groton/New London area.

    I let him sleep as late as he wanted, which was about 9 (we hadn't turned the lights out the night before until about 11 - so much for his "regular" 8:30 bedtime), then we slowly got up and around.

    We had breakfast at a Dunkin Donuts store, at this was only unusual in that they seem to be as common ...

    ... out at the airport for about an hour as I uploaded the previous 3 days' photos to the blog, and then we set out for our hotel. Fortunately for us, the FBO was able to get us a very nice deal at a deluxe hotel and spa, so we will be staying here for a couple of days as I had promised Alex a down day (no travel).

    We went to the local pizza place and got takeout, which we brought back to our room. The pizza was great - some of the best I have had in ages.

    ... eating without her again. We then ventured to the Adirondack II Sail boat, an 80 foot long schooner built in 1999. We took a 1.5 hour sail around Narragansett Bay and saw some wonderful sights and views. We saw Jackie Kennedy's summer home from the water and various other houses; including a house built on its own island which was about the size of the island.     ... but the Chrysler Town and Country family van. We nicknamed it the "Swag Wagon" and drove it fast and parked it quick so nobody would see us. We had a wonderful lunch after a long flight to Providence. The Legal Seafood restaurant was recommended to us and it was literally right outside the airport.
