Great place to stay
We stayed for 3 nights at the Arvilla and experienced a very pleasant stay. We had a slightly unusual situation in that we were not arriving until 1am -- after the office was closed. Trixie, the desk clerk who took our reservation, made special notes to ensure that our room would be unlocked and ready for us when we rolled up in the middle of the night. Jeff, the desk clerk who was actually on duty during our stay, made sure the room was ready and took good care of us throughout our stay.
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay that is very convenient to the beach and has very reasonable rates, you should definitely consider the Arvilla. It will certainly be our choice the next time we make our way to Treasure Island.
Clean and Quiet...We Loved It!!
We had a very nice stay at the Arvilla. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The manager, Tina, helped us out with an early check-in time since we'd been on the road all night. Thanks again!
Terrific 4 family and and friends.
The rooms was airconditioned and cozy, the employees was nice and polite, the pool and grounds was was very clean, and a tv with many different channels.
Loved the Arvilla
We stayed 2 weeks at the Arvilla and loved it. This place is small and very quite. The rooms are large with Kitchen. Management is very friendly and keeps the grounds and pool spotless. The beach is a long walk from the motel but everything else makes up for this. We will be staying here again in the fall. If you are looking for a nice small family type place, check this one out.
This will be the 3rd year we have booked a room here for our son and his family. We have a time share two doors away but like the kids to have their own place. Okay we like our own place. They love this place.
The baby(2)saw a picture on the net and started talking about it. He wanted to be there now! We always are there the 2nd week of April and everything has always been awesome. We highly suggest the Arvilla for a laid back, and quiet time. The view is great and it is very quiet. The kids love it. We did have a slight probelem but when asked for an explaination realized it was our mistake. We thought infants would be free but aren't. We have a room booked for this year again, the same room they have had for the last 2 years.
What a great place
I have stayed at this motel 2 years in a row. I am always amazed at the cleanliness there. Right on the beach yet the pink tile sidewalk is always clean. The rooms are atractive as well as the pool area. It is a relaxed setting. Stayed during sping break. All rooms were full but it was still quiet and peaceful. I find the cost of the room to be very affordable. I would love to stay there again.
We were lucky enough to spend three nights here in May 1998.
Desperately looking for somewhere to spend Memorial Weekend and were impressed by the large appartment next to the pool. The staff on the desk were very helpful. The hotel which although full to capacity still retained a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The close proximity to the beach and pool was a bonus for the children. Would stay there again if we visit Treasure Island again.
when we arrived at the hotel, we found are room was occupied by other guess , we were suppose to have ocean view suite, but gave us a street one room instead , it was only for 1 night, but then gave us a room , the bedding was terrible, the mattresses were as thin as a cracker, the air conditioning was noisy, and didn,t work to well, first and last time there, thank you, oh and gave us a price over the internet, but when we arrived it was a different price?had no choice it was easter week, they took us real good!!!!!!
Nice, clean, great location!
Very nice motel located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Loved the individual attention we received and the kitchens in the rooms. The location to area attractions was a plus!

... approach rather than a cab. It's called uber. Wish us luck and hope we don't get kidnapped because uber works by having a random stranger pick you up and then you pay him or her after they have successfully dropped you off at your INTENDED location. We should get to you again tomorrow when we officially get started on our latest adventure! ...
... who also comes from Ohio but retired to Florida many years ago. His claim to fame was that he comes from the same small town as Dean Martin, and Dean Martin's father gave him his first haircut. Enjoyed the golf though the back 9 was a bit iffy! It's interesting talking to the Americans, to date we have not found anybody with a good opinion of Obama nor is there any apparent enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton as the next President.
... like the DeSoto Memorial just off the island. Lovely quiet park that wanders along the Bay with plenty of places to get to the water..... and some interesting oyster shells. Walking to the pier and back has been a way to get my walking in. I can see a time when the drive to collect shells will not need to be answered every day. Didn't think that would ever happen, but I've never had 4 weeks to shell. Maybe driving to the ...
... 5th Wheel that they liked. After looking at them we were all starved. We found a place to eat and they were serving Angus beef hamburgers. It was absolutely delicious, the best hamburger I've ever had in that type of venue. Unfortunately they didn't have any seating so I ended up sitting on a rubber mat that was covering electrical wires. All was fine until I heard the generator start - it was a little eerie sitting ...
Last night when I walked to get a snack at a gas station I had my first moment of utter confusion. It hit me that I didn't know where in the country I was. My first thought was California but I knew that wasn't right then I remembered I was in Atlanta.
I forgot to include in my blog last night a great story. The Braves organist is quite possibly the most sarcastic organist in the majors, if no the world. When many of the opposing batters came to the plate she (or ...
