The five star service has this Albert Chase McArthur designed (and Frank Lloyd Wright influenced) building as a stunning backdrop.
The resort is very spread out and it is easy to get lost. What a nice way to lose yourself.

The staff at the Arizona Biltmore make the difference between just another 5-star resort and an exceptional experience that you'll remember forever. All members of the staff were very helpful throughout our conference planning, which allowed us to provide the best experience possible for the students in attendance. This place is expensive for vacationers, so come prepared to spend some money!

Let's hit Old Town Scotsdale. The kids found some Del Sol color changing treasures to take back home! And Daddy found some colour changing biking glasses...getting ready for the Ride this August! Back to True Food Kitchen for lunch, wish we could take you home with us! Spent the rest of the afternoon lazing by the pool and girls went off to shower …

Today was relaxation day. Phoenix was a very hot 42C. We had no plans and so relaxed around the cafe and the pool. Exploring the hotel and its stunning design was very interesting. It originally opened in 1929 and was designed by Albert Chase McArthur. His muse was Frank Lloyd Wright who spent a few months consulting and most of the credit has gone …

... to visit the shoreline. As it turned out it was a $6 charge per bike to get near the water and since it was late afternoon we decided to forego our shore visit and all headed home. We finished our day with a 3 mile hike from our RV site.

Monday, Feb 9 – I really wanted to go to Trader Joe’s and Costco to stock up on some favorite items as the last time was in Naples, FL, in November. Bob offered to go with me so we left by 10 AM for the ...

... new one when we arrive home. I also bought 2 pair of slacks and one short pants – I really did not want to wear my black jeans to Hawaii! Winter is, supposedly, over! Later to Greeks for dinner and Victor is getting married this Friday. Nice to hear-He has a daughter about 3 years old! GiGi was talkative tonight too. We had fun there. Home to relax and off to bed early tonight. Just have to do minor packing and make chicken sandwiches and we are on our way! Aloha to all!!!

... a home is right. We shall see...

I capped off this last evening with another great dinner at Palo Verde and opted for the prime rib special which was delicious. Then a final stop at the Discovery Lounge to say hi to Randy(who is a great bartender by the way) and a couple of cactus lemonades before heading back to room. It'll be bedtime soon and sadly tomorrow I will be heading back home to Illinois. But this won't be my only time out here. Far from it... :)
