Obviously, we had lunch somewhere after Ventotene, and before Ponza, because we spent the night there. Shortly after midnight, like 12:30a.m., I. Toothless man, as I have nicknamed him, kept walking down to take another look at Lily. And roll we did, blowing through the rest stop where the van waited with snacks, water etc. From that point on, it was just a matter of holding on. But it was glorious! Up and down rolling hills and down to the lagoon where we cycled along a long sandbar to our lunch stop: Terra Etresca, an agriturismo. Karen, Joe Gettelman (a California Wine guru and new follower of this blog) and I got there at 11:00 ...

... disappointing as they were the size of a fingernail! I end my night with a Mojito at a beachfront bar...

The next morning I head 20min around the bay to Santo Porto Stefano...this is like Porto Ercole's big brother, that wasn't blessed with the same looks or charm!!! But the drawcard is that it's the port for Giglio Island, which at 40min by ferry apparently has beautiful white sand beaches and clear turquoise water. So I decide ...
