    After a quick final yoghurt fruit and honey for breakky, we headed to Parikia to board a fast ferry to Rafina (mainland Greece).

    The Sea Jet - funnily enough, this ship was built in FREMANTLE!

    After a full night of steaming along at 18 knots, the ship drops it anchors in the crystal clear azure waters off Mykonos. No berthing on docks here, it all passenger to shore via tender boats. The town of Hora is busy with a couple of cruise ships in town. The main town is a myriad of narrow little pedestrian lanes, with the foot traffic occasionally interrupted by little trucks and vans that somehow squeeze through the narrow openings and corners, ...

    we were meeting the group at 615 in town by the windmill so left around 430 to walk in and explore a little bit beforehand. Its clear very early that Paros is much cheaper than Mykonos which is great because we have 4 nighhts here. we wandered down some narrow whitewashed backstreets and found some quirky stores some with beautiful handcrafted jewellery as well as chess boards etc and as we walked we crossed paths with the group who were heading to ...

    ... and we all got off and as I waited I was chatting to a couple from the States, and they we're from Melbourne .. Florida! Who knew there was a twin city in the USA? Well the first sight of Santorini fulfilled all of the things I had been told .... The cliffs are sheer and tower for 100's of metres above the water ... My first thought was ...     ... town and grabbed a coffee and enjoyed the view. Little bit gutted we had eaten a late breakfast since everyone's food looked amazing. Lefkes doesn't have cars so you have to park up to walk through so we had a glimpse and then jumped back on the bike and carried on our road trip. If we had more time it appeared like it would have been one of my favourites aesthetically from that day.
