With some excellent steering and sail trimming it didn't take long before we had passed half the fleet in a dieing breeze. Kevin noticed that we were sailing into a very calm patch of water ahead of us, so we tacked away 90 degrees from the rest of the fleet and away from our destination to where we could see stronger wind. We kick started the week with a stressful morning of checking out, grocery shopping, taxi rides all around Split city, and then when we eventually got to the right marina, we spent another hour and a half waiting around and looking for our skipper. Over breakfast that we have cooked in our little kitchen, we pore over the information about Brac. We both feel a bit depressed about this whole part of the trip. If we had been cycling, it is recommended that ride to the top of the highest peak on the island Vidova Gora. Yesterday, Marin said this is a very hard ride. 3 to 4 hours up a steep hill. He said many people get a taxi to the top and ride down. Glad we aren't attempting that today. Having the car means ...
