      ... hitting the start boat. With the very soft breeze and slow boat speed, by time we started we where 10 minutes behind the fleet. With some excellent steering and sail trimming it didn't take long before we had passed half the fleet in a dieing breeze. Kevin noticed that we were sailing into a very calm patch of water ahead of us, so we tacked away 90 degrees from the rest of the fleet and away from our destination to where we could see stronger wind.       ... 30pm that night we had all day to muck around in Split so we checked our luggage in at the bus station for the day and met up with a few Auzzies from the tour.       ... twenty somethings everywhere. Most were stinky backpackers, while others were Jersey Shore look-a-likes with no shirts, tatoos and fit bodies. All this behind the backdrop of a beautiful harbor full of boats, a huge dirty city with an ancient Roman Palace tucked into the center. I really don't know what else to say.       Over breakfast that we have cooked in our little kitchen, we pore over the information about Brac. We both feel a bit depressed about this whole part of the trip. If we had been cycling, it is recommended that ride to the top of the highest peak on the island Vidova Gora. Yesterday, Marin said this is a very hard ride. 3 to 4 hours up a steep hill.
