    ... of the boats and some original tools and artifacts from the journey.
    St. Charles is also on the Katy trail which is a bike/hiking trail that runs across Missouri from near the Mississippi, then along the Missouri river and ends about 200 miles west of St. Charles. I will be traveling close to it for the next couple of days and I was able to ride a few miles of it today.

    ... was very sweet about playing dolls with Bryn.

    After a leisurely breakfast and van load, we headed out to St. Louis. It's a lovely, relatively short, drive from Lexington, and we arrived in the afternoon with plenty of time for visiting. We have two sets of friends here: the Otts whom we know from our days in Fayetteville and the Barneys an extension of the Farmer clan dear to my heart. We decided to divide and conquer.

    In 2 days we again did so much with the help of our friends. The arch we got to the top and strolled through park. Drank free beer at budwieser factory tour and ate great Italian food in Little Itally.
