    Today was another tourist day, so it gave us a chance to sleep in - a little. We've been dodging the rain since we left, and I guess I can't really complain, as we are in the path of some of the worst storms passing through Texas and into the middle of the country.     ... Cavern and the Crystal Dome Cavern. Mystic Cavern was the oldest, and was well established since the 1800's, As with most really old show caves, there was considerable damage to the formations from abuse. They once made moonshine in the cave, and there was even a dance floor at one time, and they held dances inside the cave.     ... to go for a bit of a exploration drive and to find a restaurant for dinner. I would descried it as a arty, historic town.

    It has over 400 hotels/motels. The big attraction these days is a play, "The Great Passion Play". It has been running since 1968 and is reported to have had over 7.7 million people see it and is sold out months in advance. So no we didn't see it.
