      Today was the day to get out of the city and head to the hills. We had heard such good things about Solvang that we decided to make a day and night out of it. We headed out of Pasadena on the tangle of roads that is the Los Angeles freeway system. The whole freeway system is actually incredibly organized (at least to us who tend to drive in the middle of the morning or afternoon and as far away from rush hour as we can can).       We are so exited for the trip. My carry on weighs 10000 lbs. think anyone will notice? Tomorrow's flight will be super early for me..... But hopefully will help me get on Italy time....       I got up early in morning and got the 5.10 am free shuttle to Lax airport. My tour was picking us up from China Town at 6.40 am and the taxi from my hotel to China Town would cost me $60 so I decided on alternative route.
