Travel Blogs from Solvang
Up early and out for the day with Bill and Clemente, we are picked up at 0700 on the nose and hit the road - after a quick stop at Starbucks - to head to Solvang. This small Danish town was settled in 1911 and has wonderful character. I will get to that in a minute.
En route we made a pit stop - not your usual pit stop - we detoured into the Chumash Casino for a break. Hey, it's a long drive. We set our clocks to meet back at a designated time and each ...

Had a huge fire to burn all the paper that I'd been hoarding as fire starters. It was ...

We then drove to Pismo Beach which wasn't too much further south. Pismo was a lovely large beach with a pier. We parked the car and walked along the pier, and got to see dolphins swimming close to the pier which was really cool! We then walked to the beach, paddled our feet ...
