... event, everything seems scary, dark & gloomy with no apparent exit. As it is with most fears, when you look in retrospect you can't help but chuckle about how silly you were. Our villa was about 2kms away from the main road, which is where all the shops & major activities of the town took place. It became normal for us to walk to the main road to either catch the bus or walk to buy water or a few foodstuffs. One afternoon while walking with Sechaba to the ...

Don't ask Thais to make a drink that originated halfway around the world in the Caribbean Ocean. It sure was one of those, "well this wasn't what we expected" kinda nights. ... for a coffee and a piece of mud cake at the BonCafe shop. The mud cake will be another thing that will draw us back for another visit. Afterwords, we headed back to the queue of Tuk Tuks out front and headed home. Took a video of this drive so you can get a flavor for how big and busy Patong is.....as well as how winding the road is over the hills to get there. Almost like Mr Toad's Wild Ride when you get going!
