We've arrived in Phuket, Thailand, and are staying at the new "The Senses Resort". Wow, very nice place, perched high up above and overlooking the city.

However, from my own personal experience and from what we had read, was Patong to be overpriced, cheesy, mega-touristy and something we both felt could be done as a day trip instead. So we opted to stay in the inland city instead and use that as a base for the surrounding area.

Hi guys and dolls! This may turn into a super dooper long post because I have so much to say because I haven't written anything for a few days. I have been extremely slack (drunk/hungover). So I went to the Muay Thai, which for those who are unfamiliar, it's Thai boxing. It was held at Bangla Boxing Stadium which is about a kilometre from where I am staying. When you arrive at the stadium, you give them your receipt from a travel agent and they give you a coloured ticket. ...
