It is a very popular backpacker area, but we think the backpackers stay here cause it is cheap, and then spend the days either on tours or at the beaches (30 min away). It was actually pretty cool. We scored an authentic Thai lunch ...

Hey guys and dolls, sorry for the lack of stories. I've been sick and busy and drunk and hungover, not much time in between to write. So here is a day by day run down of my life for the past week and a half ish... Saturday 26th Jan Today I went for a bit of a walk around Kathu. Found some interesting shops and friendly locals to chat to. Also, signed up to learn Thai in a language school. Pretty spontaneous of me, but hey. I thought it might be fun as well as helpful. So instead ...
