      ... on this island "Alex, watch out for that elephant", "Boy, that octopus sure is good", and of course "Mai bpen rai", which is Thai for "don't worry about it!". Yes, there are actually elephants on this island! The elephants are not indigenous to the island (the island is actually named for its shape, which looks like an elephants head), but I can now say I have touched an elephant, fed an elephant, and have even been sprayed with water by an elephant.       ... by two lane highway which was straight and modern and would take us all the way down to the coast. The open country soon gave way to endless rubber plantations. We occasionally passed signs saying 'Caution, Elephants Crossing'. Working ones I presumed. We must have been on a trunk road.

      ... is when we would want to contact home. Also you could never get into a film on the cable tv as the signal always dropped. It was only a 2 min walk to the beach from out room and hubby took his fishing rod down to the rocks for the first time. Was not very successful lol, he kept getting caught on rock or the bottom lol, he was practicing as never used the rod before. We think the locals found if rather amusing.       We need to sort our border crossing and Yasper brings Max too see us. I had thought that if we got an Evisa on line that this would avoid the scam possibility at the border.       ... go snorkeling, we just wanted to get back to land. The ocean was too rough to dock at our beach so we had to go to otres 2 and tuk tuk back. We quickly changed, showered, ate and headed into town for bible study at Dan and Belinda's. Belinda made a chocolate cake for Aaron after meeting. It was delicious!
