From Siquijor we wanted to head to Apo Island, a tiny dot of an island that we could see from the beach on Siquijor however getting there was not so straight forward. There is no direct boat so we had to get the early morning ferry from Siquijor to Dumaguete then a 30 minute tricycle ride to a tiny pier that the boats headed for Apo would leave from. The main reason to visit is for the diving and snorkeling and while we were there we fell in to a peaceful rhythm of snorkeling, eating, reading, and very mild exploring of the land. Super easy place to relax. The island only has electricity from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm, and there are no motorized vehicles so it is very quiet. ... clownfish everywhere, so close to the shore - super cool! When we looked up, we found ANOTHER turtle to follow. We actually saw so many turtles that we lost count. We also saw an eel, and two sea snakes (less excited about those). The snorkelling at Apo Island was better than many dives that I've done.
