... with grass that likes cooler temperatures and reseed in the spring with grass that likes hot weather. It takes about 5 weeks to totally reseed the course if weather conditions are right. We played on a course that had been reseeded the last 5 weeks and we had to stay on the cart paths which meant a lot more walking for us. The grass was lush and we did not get much roll. It is another first for Gin and I since coming to Palm Sprngs, rain!
Though it did once rain here during one of our visits it lasted only 3 minutes and barely made the ground wet. This time, what we are now witnessing here is on a pretty significant level: heavy rainfall and even thunderstorms across all of California.
As I write this it has been raining since 3am, or 3 1/2 hours so far. 50 mm of rain are expected and are more than welcome to a state which ...

Mid day tacos from Jack in the Box held us over until our amazing dinner in Palm Springs. It's so hard to believe that we don't have a Jack in the Box near us in DC--- definitely something I miss about Charlotte.
Dinner was incredible. We had fried artichokes as an appetizer. I think that pretty much sums up the awesomeness.

There was an electricity station where people dressed up as hippos danced around producing electricity that zapped out of the station at night. There was a ferrist wheel and entertainment areas with colourful stages and bars in the middle of the festival that required secret passwords to enter.
