... I got lucky on the left side of the plan with a perfect view of the iconic Hollywood sign (of course I forgot to take a picture!) Josh had already arrived in LA, ahead of schedule and had settled in for a short kip in the waiting room at Alamo. We had a funny time at Alamo, they told us to go out to row 4 in the lot and pick any SUV we wanted, the keys are all in the doors. We spent about 20 mins jumping ...

... bother, if something happens throughout this trip then so be it. I am, however, going to peruse Katy, the American girl from last night. She text me back last night with a smile and saying "perhaps", Wicked. Will text her tomorrow as I'm thinking of going back to Santa Monica soon as I'm staying in the States and starting to really feel at home with the life of California. This is exactly what I wanted, hoorah! Off out soon, I hope! Will write more later. ...

... 15,000 people there - we left a few minutes early to avoid the rush.

Tomorrow, we head off early to the airport for the start of our marathon trip - two 12 hour trips to Johannesburg via Hong Kong. We will drop off our rental car at the airport. We decided to rent a car, instead of having our cars insured, as it is cheaper and less trouble for the 5 days we were here.

So, my next 'blog' will be from Joburg, if all goes well
