... to your cuban friend about eating alot of papaya.
I have planned out the next 3 months of my life( you think I'm exagerating, but I'm not). Basically it's non-stop bussing around on the weekends to some of the crazy destinations in Nica, but I'll give more details once I have actually been there.
As far as personal life in the house goes, its pretty relaxing. On my run this morning, I saw an eight year ...
So day two...
After a night of drinking 2 boxes-o-wine, Jackie, Suzanne and I all got up nice and early to go and see one of the volcanoes just outside of the city Grenada. So since we all arent quite accustomed to how much things cost, how long it takes to get places, etc., we were not the most efficient of travelers. First off, it took 2 hours to get to a city literally 20km away... at one point the driver was actually reading the newspaper waiting for ...
... were on the top deck (of which we ended up on because it was so jam packed..). So we think, Ok, the free Rum Punch might make this liveable, right? Nooooo, it was like some crazy sour Rum drink that wasn't even drinkable. So by the time we get to Morne Rouge, we already know we're not taking that think back...Not my style. So we investigated a cab. It was $18 back into St. George. We ...
Grenada, Grenada audaciousred... that the van's brakes were changed every 3 months. Good stuff!
As we approached our first stop being the Annandale Falls, beautiful black women could be seen with their colourful fruit baskets on top of their heads up the road. We got out of the van and proceeded to walk in their directions while enjoying the surroundings. They greeted us with open arms and a few laughs were exchanged. They were quite pleasant ...
... went down to the Lounge for Wine tasting class. We had the opportunity to taste 12 wines from 6 different countries. It was really fun and they had snacks there too. I really enjoyed it and there was big crowd there. I am going to so the next one which is Wine and food pairing on the day at sea. After the Wine tasting class we all came back to the rooms to rest a little and get ready for dinner...I took a nap and I ...
St. George's, St. George, Grenada travelin_kat... Not a problem, we stocked up our library of books on Union Island. Most places which cater to yachties have some sort of book exchange which we take advantage of whenever possible. When we went to the Customs office in Carriacou, we had to take a bus because of the bad anchor-holding at the first bay. This Custom's officer was by far the friendliest we've met. He asked if we'd be there through Friday. I wondered what that was all about and how much extra it might cost ...
Prickly Bay, Grenada questmillerSoo.. yeah Grenada... its pretty sweet so far... got in last night round 1030. Woke up to a beautiful sun shiny day.. Its kinda difficult to describe the weather - i wouldnt call it humid.. its warm but thers always a nice breeze from the ocean. Its really quite nice... although you really notice the difference from going outside to the a/c. The journey over here wasnt bad - although there was a delay in Barbados.. and the MIAMI airport sux ass ...
St. George's, Grenada drconsul... tour of the hurricane-battered island, stopping at a Spice factory, River Antoine Rum Distillery, Grand Etang National Park and finishing with a brief dip in Grand Anse Beach. The tour was highly educational and we liked it although we missed some parts, as the island is too big to see in one day.
St. Georges, Grenada smachim... side! We had a half way pit stop in gouyave. Was easy to see preperations for carnival are well under way. There were coloured lights (like what we would have at xmas) lining the streets everywhere. And then it was off again, on our quest. We got lost! At the top of the island the road curves in between the mountains, so at that point u havnt got a clue where u are coz all u can see is trees and mountains around u, and the roads go up, down, left right every few metres. We were ...
