    After skipping breakfast (because of the UHT melk) we wandered towards the Markt Square calling into many shops along the way. Bruges is unlike other major tourist towns we have been to in that it isn't flooded with souvenir shops. It is a bit like a normal large town with a lot of old buildings.     ... reminders. The rain fell heavier than normal, and Monday was clearly the day the locals spent piecing their city back together, restocking ready for the next influx, so I decided to hop on the train and spend an hour or two in Brussels.
