    ... and Highlanders graves. And the graves whose families had paid extra to have extra message on the headstones. Once again all was immaculately kept. Our final stop of the day was the Menin Gate in Ypres. 55000 names of men who were missing at the end of the war. It's crazy that it took years before a peace treaty was reached! There was so much we did on this trip, too much to put on one blog! A day well spent. I only wish we had gone prepared with poppies. ...

    ... climb of the day had left about 15 minutes earlier so that little pleasure had to be deferred. I did use the toilet in the complex tho, another € spending a penny.

    ... pub so we all did. Then we thought it wise to have two more, which took us up to the 3 beer limit they impose before heading out for dinner (and a nightcap beer for Dan). Had a lovely evening but felt it the next morning.

    ... completely humiliate Ci (a parent's job!) by dancing like loons, whilst he stood and made like a tree! We just danced around him! It was fun when you took the headphones off, you couldn't hear any music just people trying to sing to the tracks they could hear. So funny.
