... s aquarium and the water park. When we arrived, we arrived so early that our room wasn't yet ready, so we had a wander around and found the aquarium. It was just so well done. The tanks are just so simple, but they work so well with the fish that are in them, that they look incredible. As I said before, we were just so tired, someone fell asleep lying in front of one of the tanks! We decided to skip breakfast and just go straight to lunch, so ...
... at the slightest movement, you'll be glad to know I didn't get motion sick at all. Of course, I had started eating ginger about an hour before my hotel pick-up. We passed several stopped vehicles where a passenger was getting acquainted with the barf bag, and my heart went out to them. I could tell that if I hadn't been eating ginger, I would have been hanging out the window for the entire ride, but the ginger was enough to keep it at bay. Have I mentioned I LOVE ginger?? It made this ...
The title's the name the girls have for us... they're the girls, so we're the teacher girls, otherwise it gets confusing! We had another pretty chilled day yesterday - Maia had a party at Ski Dubai, so we dropped her off and wandered round the mall with Kaila... lots of sweets and ice cream - don't think that was such a good idea! But Lottie had never tried Baskin Robbins ice cream, which is AMAZING, so it had to be done! We watched ...
... then informed us we should either pay 25 dirham each for a shuttle to Deira City Centre or take the free shuttle back to the airport and then catch the Metro from there to Deira City Centre for 5 dirham each, one way. After much deliberation, we chose to head back to the airport, where we converted $5 into dirham and then found our way to the Metro. There we were pleasantly surprised to discover that a return ticket actually only cost 7 dirham each, ...
... station at the other side of the mall. In all seriousness it would have been about a 3 km walk. By the time I reached the metro station I was buggered but had to put the running legs into action (didn't know I could run) because the last train for the night was just about to depart. I got on the cattle truck...... I mean metro, and made my way back to the hotel. While I hadn't done a great deal today I was still exhausted from all the walking so crashed as soon as my head hit the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Oasis Beach Tower Apartments Dubai
Just come back from OBT, hired a 4 bed 4 bath appt for the 6 adults and 3 children. Cost was £2000 total which included HB for the 7 nights we was there. This was tremendous value for money considering the HB was not your standard buffet fare, but a la carte from Singapura or Oregano if you choose. The appt was massive and never felt crampt, the furnishings very good also, massive beds. The staff i feel were not as good as previous trips to Grosvenor House or Hilton RAK but they were still good.
Avoid if you are a professional !
The Oasis Beach Tower apartments is a typical tourist place. If you come as a tourist on a package tour looking to party with fellow tourists then I'm sure you are going to be happy.
If you are on business travel or are looking for an extended stay then please avoid it. The infrastructure like internet, cell phone reception, exersize room, etc. is very mediocre and low class and doesn't work most of the time.
The place smells ( serious sewer problems ) and the restaurants are constantly booked out because of the tourist cashing in on their meal vouchers.
It's also located in the middle of Dubai's major construction zones, lots of noise, lots of dust.
Again great tourist place but nothing for the professional traveler.
Best apartments in Dubai!!
I recently went to Dubai with my 3 year old son and my family. We stayed at the oasis beach apartments and had a fantastic time.
Although we arrived in Dubai early morning, our room was ready for us. There was a welcome food pack and drinks in the fridge along with some other bits and bobs.
the 3 bed apartment we stayed in had a sea view and was immaculate. It was very very clean and spacious.
All staff at the apartment block were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend the oasis beach tower and can't wait to go back to dubai very soon!!!
Returned from the Oasis Beach Tower just last week after a wonderful break to Dubai.
We were hesitant at first but once we saw a 360o of the hotel we were very impressed. Once we got to the hotel, all our expectations were met. With 3 children we had full access to all the Oasis beach HOTEL facilities as well the Oasis beach TOWER where we stayed, separated by just 10 metres or so.
We checked in to the tower at 11pm at night. The person that checked us in took the time to show us to our apt and pointed out the many various features. He also ensured that we had enough (complementary) food and drinks to last us for a few days of light meals.
The apartment contained just about everything we could have wanted. LCD TVs, DVD, Stereo.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend these apartments to people looking for luxury accommodation at a competitive price
Flight - Emirates (Glasgow) The flight was superb as usual with
Highly recommended as absolutely magnificent!!
Fantastic apartments in Dubai
I stayed with a group in Oasis Beach Tower in Dubai. It is located on Jumeriah Beach and newly build with fantastic apartments
You can chose from 2to four bedroom apartments. Well eqipied kitchen with laundry facilities. A large living room with LCD TV, DVD, dining table and a baslcony with a fantastic view over the beach and the ocean. There will be restaurants and a bar on the 51 th floor and also a smaller shopping centre. You can also use all the facilities of the Oasis Beach Hotel.
If you stay 8 persons in a four bedroom apartment you can really get a luxuary living to a two star price.

The apartments in the Oasis Beach Tower were stunning. On our second day staying in the Oasis Beach Hotel (which was lovely!) we went on a tour of the Tower, and were shown round 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments on the 29th floor. These were classed as 'superior' apartments, there are some 'premium' ones higher up (apparently with superior fittings etc), and some 'deluxe' ones on the lower floors. From the 29th floor the views of the Gulf were fantastic - the photos simply do not come close to the reality.
