... be renamed the deserted area! Empty nomadic tents were scattered around the area and signs indicated the activity within each tent. One tent was a hospitality tent a la Bedouin style whilst another tent was where the women of the village sat and weaved traditional patterned fabric from goat and camel hair. At the far end of this section stood an enclosure of camels. We asked their handler about the baby camels but struggled to understand his response. We think he was telling us ...

Curiosity took the better of us and we waited 20mins on the opposite side of the road to see the action. However just before the star arrived we were moved on by the local Police and missed the action. We did however hear the crowds screaming. Thats it for Dubai Oz here we ...
... we hailed a taxi and asked him to take us to The Burj Tower, only to find out that a ticket is required to enter. So our driver suggested we visit the Atlantis Hotel on Palm Island. Palm Island is a well known landmark in Dubai but I was a little disappointed in it. Although our stay was short, Dubai, we noticed, is very much a concrete jungle with few trees and a few areas of lush green lawn. The city also suffers from haze (at least this time of the year), to the extent that ...

Dubai mall is huge - makes Chadstone in Melbourne look like a four square. It is 12 million square metres of mall and to improve your shopping experience they are currently adding another million square metres. It was important not to seperate or we would never have found each other. There are designer stores, had a Gallerie Layfette, ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Oasis Beach Tower Apartments Dubai
Just come back from OBT, hired a 4 bed 4 bath appt for the 6 adults and 3 children. Cost was £2000 total which included HB for the 7 nights we was there. This was tremendous value for money considering the HB was not your standard buffet fare, but a la carte from Singapura or Oregano if you choose. The appt was massive and never felt crampt, the furnishings very good also, massive beds. The staff i feel were not as good as previous trips to Grosvenor House or Hilton RAK but they were still good.
Avoid if you are a professional !
The Oasis Beach Tower apartments is a typical tourist place. If you come as a tourist on a package tour looking to party with fellow tourists then I'm sure you are going to be happy.
If you are on business travel or are looking for an extended stay then please avoid it. The infrastructure like internet, cell phone reception, exersize room, etc. is very mediocre and low class and doesn't work most of the time.
The place smells ( serious sewer problems ) and the restaurants are constantly booked out because of the tourist cashing in on their meal vouchers.
It's also located in the middle of Dubai's major construction zones, lots of noise, lots of dust.
Again great tourist place but nothing for the professional traveler.
Best apartments in Dubai!!
I recently went to Dubai with my 3 year old son and my family. We stayed at the oasis beach apartments and had a fantastic time.
Although we arrived in Dubai early morning, our room was ready for us. There was a welcome food pack and drinks in the fridge along with some other bits and bobs.
the 3 bed apartment we stayed in had a sea view and was immaculate. It was very very clean and spacious.
All staff at the apartment block were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend the oasis beach tower and can't wait to go back to dubai very soon!!!
Returned from the Oasis Beach Tower just last week after a wonderful break to Dubai.
We were hesitant at first but once we saw a 360o of the hotel we were very impressed. Once we got to the hotel, all our expectations were met. With 3 children we had full access to all the Oasis beach HOTEL facilities as well the Oasis beach TOWER where we stayed, separated by just 10 metres or so.
We checked in to the tower at 11pm at night. The person that checked us in took the time to show us to our apt and pointed out the many various features. He also ensured that we had enough (complementary) food and drinks to last us for a few days of light meals.
The apartment contained just about everything we could have wanted. LCD TVs, DVD, Stereo.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend these apartments to people looking for luxury accommodation at a competitive price
Flight - Emirates (Glasgow) The flight was superb as usual with
Highly recommended as absolutely magnificent!!
Fantastic apartments in Dubai
I stayed with a group in Oasis Beach Tower in Dubai. It is located on Jumeriah Beach and newly build with fantastic apartments
You can chose from 2to four bedroom apartments. Well eqipied kitchen with laundry facilities. A large living room with LCD TV, DVD, dining table and a baslcony with a fantastic view over the beach and the ocean. There will be restaurants and a bar on the 51 th floor and also a smaller shopping centre. You can also use all the facilities of the Oasis Beach Hotel.
If you stay 8 persons in a four bedroom apartment you can really get a luxuary living to a two star price.

The apartments in the Oasis Beach Tower were stunning. On our second day staying in the Oasis Beach Hotel (which was lovely!) we went on a tour of the Tower, and were shown round 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments on the 29th floor. These were classed as 'superior' apartments, there are some 'premium' ones higher up (apparently with superior fittings etc), and some 'deluxe' ones on the lower floors. From the 29th floor the views of the Gulf were fantastic - the photos simply do not come close to the reality.
