August 15, 2012 Arrival in Dubai
First Impressions
We have arrived in sand city! The scorching heat is unbelievable, just to cross the street! We are lucky to live so close to our school. We rented a car for a month so we should be able to visit here and there when we can, but we cannot leave the country until we have a visa. Unfortunately, a smoker had the car before so it stinks of cigarettes!

... I had a hard time finding the entrance to the mall once again, but after walking around for about an hour in the heat, I made it back to the air conditioned "safety" of the mall!! I had decided before I ventured out this morning that I would take the Dubai Metro at some point today. There is a station called the Dubai Mall so I inquired at one of the information desks about its location. Well you need to take a bus or walk ...

    Very Nice Appts Great Value

    from colinchap

Just come back from OBT, hired a 4 bed 4 bath appt for the 6 adults and 3 children. Cost was £2000 total which included HB for the 7 nights we was there. This was tremendous value for money considering the HB was not your standard buffet fare, but a la carte from Singapura or Oregano if you choose. The appt was massive and never felt crampt, the furnishings very good also, massive beds. The staff i feel were not as good as previous trips to Grosvenor House or Hilton RAK but they were still good.

There is a massive amount of building work going on around the Marina and in particular phase 3 of the JBR is springing up right next door to the left hand tower, with work going on 24/7, supposedly only light work at night!!!!!!!!....yeah rite......but this did not detract from the holiday. When the area is totally finished the prices i imagine will not be anywhere the cost we paid......so i guess a bit of a trade off. Although I think the hotel should have warned us of this fact and am taking this issue up with them.

All in all an excellent break, in quality accomodation with great food.

Avoid if you are a professional !

    from fluijckx

The Oasis Beach Tower apartments is a typical tourist place. If you come as a tourist on a package tour looking to party with fellow tourists then I'm sure you are going to be happy.

If you are on business travel or are looking for an extended stay then please avoid it. The infrastructure like internet, cell phone reception, exersize room, etc. is very mediocre and low class and doesn't work most of the time.

The place smells ( serious sewer problems ) and the restaurants are constantly booked out because of the tourist cashing in on their meal vouchers.

It's also located in the middle of Dubai's major construction zones, lots of noise, lots of dust.

Again great tourist place but nothing for the professional traveler.

    Best apartments in Dubai!!

    from Samra&Purewals

I recently went to Dubai with my 3 year old son and my family. We stayed at the oasis beach apartments and had a fantastic time.

Although we arrived in Dubai early morning, our room was ready for us. There was a welcome food pack and drinks in the fridge along with some other bits and bobs.

the 3 bed apartment we stayed in had a sea view and was immaculate. It was very very clean and spacious.

All staff at the apartment block were very friendly and helpful.

Would definitely recommend the oasis beach tower and can't wait to go back to dubai very soon!!!

    Fantastic

    from Bali_babe

Returned from the Oasis Beach Tower just last week after a wonderful break to Dubai.

The towers really were wonderful, We stayed in a 2bed apartment and could not fault them at all. The kitchen was well equipped with a starter pack (not that we used it) and the living area was large and comfortable. The master suite particularly impressed us with the enormous bed and plush bathroom.

The staff were ever so obliging and saw to our every request. We used the pool once and even this was very nice.

The fact that you can use the Oasis Beach Hotel facilities is brilliant and the HB deal we went on suited us perfectly.

There is a lot of building work going on around the hotel but that is Dubai at the moment. I cannot say that the building work distracted us at all, so that should not put you off from staying at the towers.

All in all wonderful hotel in a brilliant place

    Spacious, high quality, classy apartments.

    from Tiwana

We were hesitant at first but once we saw a 360o of the hotel we were very impressed. Once we got to the hotel, all our expectations were met. With 3 children we had full access to all the Oasis beach HOTEL facilities as well the Oasis beach TOWER where we stayed, separated by just 10 metres or so.

The Oasis Tower apartments were spacious and very modern. We had a two bedroom apartment with a master bedroom which had two large beds together as well as a second twin bed bedroom. Facilities included a kitchette with dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, fridge etc. as well as a coffee machine. There were two large LCD TV's, two bathrooms and a cloakroom, not to mention a separate maids room with a shower....which was handy if you had a maid!. The room also boasted a balcony overlooking both the marina and the beach...we could see the Palm development from our balcony.

The swimming pool in the Towers was great. However, our children preferred the main Oasis Hotel swimming pool as it has a swim up bar and was generally more lively. There is also a separate small childrens pool and a large warm water jacuzzi for adults only. There is also a private beach which was lovely to swim in - trhe water was quiet warm.

Food at the hotel was great. Breakfast included hot and cold food and there was also something different each day. We stayed on half board and could eat in the main buffet restaraunt which also had a different theme each day e.g. indian on a Friday and carvery on Sunday. We could also eat in the Singapura which was fantastic and the Oregano.

Service was also very good and there was a courtesy bus to various shopping centres and the souks. There is also a reasonable gym and a great tennis court.

There is certainly alot of development going on in Dubai...almost 20% of the worlds cranes are in Dubai! However, this did not affect our enjoyment as we were aware of this before we travelled.

    Enjoy......Tiwana family

    Luxurious Apartments

    from tallymebanana

We checked in to the tower at 11pm at night. The person that checked us in took the time to show us to our apt and pointed out the many various features. He also ensured that we had enough (complementary) food and drinks to last us for a few days of light meals.

The apartment contained just about everything we could have wanted. LCD TVs, DVD, Stereo.

The staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend these apartments to people looking for luxury accommodation at a competitive price

Oasis Beach Towers - Mr Cumming 07802229313

    from MrCumming

Flight - Emirates (Glasgow) The flight was superb as usual with

Emirates. Comfort, Service, Entertainment and Food all excellent.

    Dubai Airport - Superb

Transfer from airport to Oasis Towers - We were met by the rep and escorted to our Oasis Beach Hotel transfer people carrier. All very efficient.

Arrival at Oasis Towers - Building work around the towers does detract slightly although its all managed very efficiently.

Check in - I believe that the inexperience of the staff made a poor first impression. Both employees on duty were lacking in confidence and sounded less than convincing when informing us of the need to swipe my credit card for two seperate amounts prior to taking up residence.

Apartment - Glass elevator to the 44th floor. The apartment is everything we wanted and had been told to expect from this forum.

Services of the Oasis Beach Hotel - We dined at each of the 3 restaurants picking our favourite of the themed buffet nights at the 'Bazzar'. The pool area got very crowded probably due to the cool water (sea temp 32 degrees). The inclusive shuttle bus between the hotel, malls and souks was excellent.

Staff - The only issue we had was with a number of people at the front desk. A simple issue we reported the first day, faulty hairdryer which was taken to reception. We were told that it would be repaired/replaced within a day. We checked its status the following two days, each time a note was made on a 'bit of paper'. We left it a further 3 days and spoke to a supervisor who said that they would deal with it. We said our concern was that we didn't want an issue if it wasn't in the room when the inventory check was completed the night before we checked out. No guesses what item was reported missing when the check was completed. Another issue was the way management handled the situation when my wife slipped and fell on a wet floor unmarked by cleaning staff. The 'nurse' was called although it was the duty manager of the Oasis Beach Hotel who arrived who may well be a first aider. My wife's wrist was bandaged and deep heat applied to her hip. An hour later my wife said that the pain was getting worse so we went to reception to call for the nurse. We vwere told that she had left for the day and would be back tomorrow however a doctor could be called if we wanted, at a cost. I reminded the employee that it was an injury caused by their neglect. The repeated request for us to pay for the doctor as well as medicine he prescribed got very tiring. The doctor also wanted my wife to have x-rays and although the doctor spoke to the front desk of Oasis Towers they at firt refused to cover the cost. We were passed from one person to the next and were even told that the decision on whether they would pay for x-rays on an injury caused by their neglect could not be made as the person needed was in a meeting. Finally they agreed that if we paid initially it would be refunded.

Overall Oasis Towers has a lot to offer although its getting busy and this combined with the people issues above can put a dampner on the experience. Don't allow some of the staff to spoil your vacation.

Oasis Apartments Highly recommended - stunning!

    from camillacarro

    Highly recommended as absolutely magnificent!!

End of May we stayed at the newly opened Oasis Apartments in Dubai on the Jumeirah Beach.

What a stunning apartment! Something unique! The view over the sea was just gorgeous. You could not stop looking at it!

We where 4 couples who went for a golfweek to Dubai and it was excellent to stay in this huge apartment where we even had a separate room for the golfclubs and suitcases.! On top of that - nice to be all together and it came out cheaper than 4 double rooms at a hotel.

Extremely spaceious, almost 280 square meter with very elegant design! The 4 bedrooms with own bathrooms was as big as a normal hotellroom. One guest bathroom as well. A big livingroom with a balcony with stunning view over the sea. Flat TV-screens in all the rooms.

The kitchen was very big and fully equipped with everything you needed if you wanted to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. But you could also have full roomservice. We just made our breakfast! And what a surprice - the refrigerator was filled with next mornings breakfast ( complimentary) upon check-in.

Fantastic service was given from the staff !

Outside the hotell you have the beautiful long sandy Jumeirah Beach. The best in Dubai.

Oasis Apartment is next to Oasis Beach hotel - where you can find a lot of nice restaurants.

Go to Dubai and stay at the Oasis Apartments - you will never forget it!!

Went on a tour of the impressive Oasis Beach Tower...

    from Bean26

The apartments in the Oasis Beach Tower were stunning. On our second day staying in the Oasis Beach Hotel (which was lovely!) we went on a tour of the Tower, and were shown round 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments on the 29th floor. These were classed as 'superior' apartments, there are some 'premium' ones higher up (apparently with superior fittings etc), and some 'deluxe' ones on the lower floors. From the 29th floor the views of the Gulf were fantastic - the photos simply do not come close to the reality.

The first apartment we looked at was the front 2-bedroom, which, from both the bedrooms and the lounge had good views over the water and back over the developing inland area as well (interesting to watch). However, I would presume that the 2-bedroom apartment behind (there are 2 on each floor) has only a partial view of the Gulf. There is construction work going on all around, so you get the impression that another tower could pop up nearby at any time to further cut down the views, however the construction work was not particularly noisy, unless outside on the balconies. Likewise, the 3-bedroom had great views, but partially obstructed by the identical tower situated just in front of the Oasis Beach Tower (when asked, we were told that the other tower has not been leased by the Jebel Ali group).

We were blown away by the four-bedroom apartment. Actually, we were blown away by them all (!), but the views from the lounge/dining room area of the four-bed are just phenomenal. The apartment is on the corner of the tower on each floor, and so the living space has panoramic views all around, including over the new Palm being constructed off the coast near Dubai Marina. In the huge kitchen, which in this apartment is a separate room, the kitchen sink is under the huge windows with beautiful views - we joked that no one would complain about doing the washing up!

Each apartment has a (brand new, naturally) fully functional top quality kitchen, complete with washer/drier and I believe also a dishwasher. Every bedroom is en suite with bath, the Master has a separate shower. There is also a window-less maid's room with en suite shower room. The decor is clean and tasteful, and the beds look so comfortable I had to stop myself from trying them out! The floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom mean you could be waking up to a breathtaking view every morning of your stay.

The tower is, at time of writing, unfinished, and we were allowed up to the 49th (of 50) floors to see the views from up there - stunning! You could see the pool and terrace area below under construction (like most of Dubai!) and mattresses in the hallways ready to be placed into the nearly-complete apartments. Still, there were a number of guests there when we looked round.

The 180 apartments would be especially suitable for business travellers, couples wanting more space, independence and privacy and large families who require more than one hotel room. The Tower is linked to the Hotel, where you can have breakfast at the fantastic buffet at the Bazaar restaurant, as well access to most of the Hotel's facilities and with a golf-cart shuttle available to take you to the pool/beach area, even though it's only a short walk over the road!

After our tour of the apartments, we were so impressed that we enquired about transferring from our rooms at the Hotel to the Tower, but unfortunately it was not possible. When next in Dubai, however, we would most definitely consider a stay at the Oasis Beach Tower.
