... landete ich endlich nach ganzen 20 Stunden in Peking. Nun machte ich mich auf die Suche nach meinem Hostel, was sich schwerer herausstellte, wie gedacht hatte. Denn keiner der Busfahrer kannte ein Wort Englisch^^ So scheiterte ich schon fast daran vom Flughafen in die Stadt zu kommen.

I got tickets through an agency in advance, at a bargain rate of 110rmb per ticket for the second price seats after a bit of gentle negotiating. We went to the 5.15 show, and it wasn't anywhere near full, so you could certainly get tickets on the night, but might not be able to negotiate such a good deal.

... about an hour away. When we got to the wall there were thousands of people, and 90% of them were heading up to the right, masses of people all the way up as far as you could see. So we went left. I think this section of the wall wasn’t quite as high as the other side but we still got awesome views, and even better, basically had the whole thing to ourselves. No crowds!
