I haven't seen the chair of my dissertation, mentor and friend, Cynthia Franklin in more than 12 years and we happened upon each other in China of all places. She was travelling through the country conducting trainings. We were lucky enough to meet up in the beautiful Hangzhou - a short train ride from Shanghai.
