... time a year ago called The Waffel House. Sunday brunch consisted of a giant waffel (DUH), two eggs, two sausage patties, hash browns, 4 pieces of toast and a cuppa joe. It took me awhile to put it all away and when I was finished the waitress wanted to know if I wanted a cup of coffe to go. Yikes, that's never happened before.

I was going to go to a pirates festival over on Sanibel Island but ...

... residences for the elite seeking privacy. Apparently Audrey Hepburn and the Bush family have had seasonal homes there.

We truly don't care so much about that as we do about the fact that there are miles of paved bike trails and access to scenic beachfront spots!

We have been invited to get a "golf cart tour" of Palm Island by someone who lives there so we are looking forward to that ...

... Punta Gorda. Ended up at Fisherman's Village, browsing and shopping. Visited the Military and Aviation History Museum where Bob was able to see a computerized image of his ship the USS Newman K. Perry. 4:00 PM mass at Sacred Heart church. Dinner at "jack's on Marion" delicious food. The nightly thunderstorm occurred at 7:30. Early evening watching the lightning over Charlotte Harbor. ... Myers, whose downtown area has had a relatively recent face lift. It's very attractive with lots of nice restaurants and shops.

The anchorage was so nice. Being very close to the Fort Myers marina, we could easily dinghy over to the marina, leave our dinghy and walk to town or ride the bus almost anywhere we needed to go.

We also ran into an old Denver buddy and had some good times ...

... The beach was really nice not crowded,nice sand and hot! We got a good spot near the pier and got creamed up!!!!!!!!!! Behind us was a beach volleyball net and court so the' vainest teenagers ever 'thought they would try their luck against the older and wiser pro,s!! If I remember right they got a severe ass whooping!!!!!!! 15-2!!!!!!! Come back when you're pretty enough!!!!!! All the excuses came out: Too hot Too sweaty Can't breathe Wrong bikini Bad team ...
