No alarm, and the plan to miss breakfast. We still woke around 9 though but had a leisurely get up, missing breakfast. We had a restful lying in the sun day on the hotel beach. Lunch was chicken donner and chips at the snack bar. At the end of the day I was getting dressed to leave the beach, Barry was just reading a page and a half before we could go. As I pulled my shorts up I saw the bee on my thigh just to late, oh so ...

... a small glass. That said there were a lot of people to feed, our group had 38 and there were several similar sized groups. After lunch we were back on the boat heading down river to Turtle beach. We stopped to look at the Burial tombs carved into the Rock face en route. Ebru gave us a very in depth history lesson, not sure I would pass the test afterwards though. On to the beach. A long stretch of golden sand, gently shelving in the water but with gentle waves. All I wanted was ...

After breakfast we caught the bus into Marmaris 5 Turkish lira, for both of us. Bargain. We got off short of the bus stop and wandered along the front. It was very hot with the local tradesmen making the usual attempts to engage us in conversation with the hope of flogging us a boat trip or meal. We found the indoor bazaar which really just consisted of a roof being put over a normal street restricted to pedestrians and ...

... short stroll around the town before the hotel entertainment. The Drifters were quite good once they got going, got the crowd involved. I was not so taken with the light show though. 3 blokes in outfits with coloured lights pretending to fight each other. Luckily this bit dint go on too long. I've found my first 2 bites this evening, felt I was being attacked while watching the ...

... just because it was the first day and very busy. I followed egg, sausage and potato with some fruit salad and grapefruit. On a plus side there was a half decent cup of tea (or 2) in a good sized mug. After breakfast we eventually found the pool towels downstairs in the spa. The nice man showed us around and gave us his sales pitch for the full works - specially discounted of course. Certainly looks worth a return visit to use the steam room & ...
