Hiking in the Triglav National Park

We started the day with a hot chocolate in Bohinjska Bistrica while the cloud cleared. We sat outside, the sun was lovely! Then we went hiking towards Črna prst (1844m). We didn't go to the summit as the track was hard to navigate. Instead we walked a lovely loop along the river, through beautiful green rolling hills, and past a waterfall. Mat was very fascinated with the rocks. ...

... the lake! The scenery was beautiful with forests, mountains and waterfalls. Once we made it to the town again we were freezing so headed back to the van for soup. Then we took the main road through Bohinjska to Lake Bohinj in the Triglav National park. It's beautiful. We have never experienced Autumn like this before! So many spectacular colours. All up we rode for about 4hours (75km) before heading back to the van for ...

We found a bar to have a beer while we applied for more volunteer work in Italy. The evening cleared and we had a lovely stroll around the lake back to Percy. We're parked at the rowing boat sheds. We cooked up chilli con carne to warm ...

... The ground is so wet and muddy, must have had lots of rain yesterday. Anyway, we got him out! And now we're just parked on one of the roads in the camp. Much harder ground! The campsite is at the opposite end of Lake Bled to the town, so we walked in to check out Bled. Our visit was brief as it was getting late. We walked the entire lake; it's beautiful. Hopefully we see it in sunshine ...

          Villach to Zagreb

We had consumed a considerable amount of carbohydrates and well...gelato in Venice so the previous night we had set an alarm to wake up and go running along the scenic river flowing through Villach. Ryan achieve this goal, I did not...While I snoozed in the cool sheets Ryan went for a run and of course had to beat my average kilometre time. He did say he was going to have a heart attack when he returned and was still pouring sweat while we were ...
