          Another Beautiful No-Fog Day

What can I say -- three days in a row with no morning fog! We're on a roll! We did a lot of hiking today and actually walked double the number of steps we try to aim for every day -- twice up a big sand dune (not THE big one), over to both of the lakes in the park, and up to see a lighthouse. And I'm, as Katie used to say, "'Zosted"! The picture of the gigantic sand dune isn't wonderful, but it shows how big it is ...

... with a chicken leg in it, leave it out for 5 minutes, pull it in and toss back all the females but keep the unlucky males of required size. There were a lot of crabs in that bay! We saw a couple of sea lions cruising around hoping for some fish handouts.

And our visit to Crater Lake National Park:

... then, BAM, the ocean is right there in front of you. Absolutely breathtaking!
The park we are in is HUGE! We are in the back of the park in space 390. The only real internet, no tv reception and a LOT of rain. Like 40 hours of it!

... a great respect for the driver. This was a great afternoon.

By 5:00 we were back and checking into the mote. Very nice rooms. I would certainly stay here again. Now it is time for dinner. We choose the ICM on the water, then back to our rooms and call it a day.

I took 426 pictures. I've chosen 102 to share. We did and saw a lot of things!

... Oregon and would have stayed; Harlan enjoyed it, but wanted to get back to Colorado. That’s enough strolling down memory lane……

I’d also planned for us to view a couple of covered bridges, but travel was slow because of all the traffic, and we decided the covered bridges would wait another day. As we pulled into Winchester Bay Harlan and I were discussing where to eat dinner. Judy jumped out ...
