... on a lovely view across a gorge or valley of some kind and our stay was particularly cloudy so we weren't actually able to see any of the caves across the gorge. Not to be deterred we continued to hike through the area, finding little trails and paths in the woods, seeing beautiful trees wrapped in clingy fog. Even without being able to see the caves it was worth the trip.
On the way out we stopped to get something to eat. Kodai is apparently known for home made chocolate ...

... about us leaving in the rain, and would have made us stay. He was really worried about us and insisted we ring as soon as we arrive at Palani.
