... there was a bonfire but nobody went near it because it's just so hot here already. I talked with my friends until midnight, then packed and slept. All really good times with these people. ... that the second half was much, much steeper. I can say with all honesty, walking up the rest of that mountain was the most physically demanding thing I have done in my life. Imagine yourself, walking up a 70 degree incline in 95 degree humid weather for an hour. The sun was on me, my head was beating, my vision was blurring and my legs were extremely strained. ... back to home base for some pool time and dinner. We had chicken, rice, beans, fruits and veggies. Basically everything I was expecting for the whole trip all in one meal. After dinner we did some ice breaker games and just hang out some more. I'm now sitting in my mosquito net covered bed with my roommates: Claire, Olivia and Katya, all from Northern California, and Adele from Massachusetts. I really wish I had wifi so I could post this. ... the water was cool and very refreshing in the heat of the rainforest, and we then took about 40 minutes swimming, jumping and sliding down a range of cataracts through a beautiful gorge, it was invigorating and incredible fun, it would be fantastic to have a good waterproof camera to record it all as it is impossible to describe some of the curled water shoots and slides and the caverns under 100ft cliffs, Awesome.
