          ... anyway. Why we chose to walk in the heat and humidity may be a mystery. I guess the sounds of Eurovision graveyard from yesterday scared us off a beach club. We did watch (and video) the Danza de las Voladores (Flying Dancers). During their breaks, some of them were doing needlepoint for the fabulous and colourful costumes.           ... high on a cliff above the turquoise sea and the beach of Akumal where I had been promised I would snorkel with turtles and sting rays. As you can imagine I was having trouble managing my own expectations on this one, the visibility wasn't great but I saw a huge turtle so I went home happy.
