The 45 min drive passed fast despite the rather pungent petrol smell inside, with windows down and a bunch of bananas from a nearby stall, it was a breeze. Hola. The tropical storm is apparently coming and caused a short notice cancellation of seafari. Disappointing. Success came in the form of a short wifi spell so posted my blog posts online i hope, and birthday wishes for my mum! :) A beach volleyball session with locals and a quick swim in the morning. More wave today and seaweed which makes my favourite new game 'play a seaweed' more exciting. It involves ...

... the Dominican Republic from here. Tony and I still want to enjoy the Out Islands of the Bahamas on our way to the Turks and Caicos. So this is it! After almost two months of Buddy boating and almost three months of knowing each other, tomorrow we will part ways. :(

We're still here. Simunye departed yesterday morning. We decided to stay put as a cold front pushed down from Florida and cut short our lovely weather window. Tony wants to ensure we have three to ...

... speed. After that, the taxi driver brings me to the cheapest hotel, the Tarraraco. It is only 18cuc a night, so I stay there and Pedro and the taxi go back to Camaguey.

It is now about noon, what should I do ? Well, of course, just go to the beach which is at 30m. from my room :). It is not the nicest beach in Cuba, but the water is cristal clear and the sand white and soft, the sun burning hot. Perfect.
