However, we fortuitously planned our trip during the beginning of the low season for tourist travel so we were pleased to find that we never felt too crowded (we also didn´t go to the popular touristy beaches on the Pacific Coast so that helped!) Off to Nicaragua on Thursday for 4 days so really looking forward to that so maybe no new updates for a few days. We will be heading to Monteverde cloudforest on my birthday for the last week of Spanish school so will use the weekend as an excuse to celebrate ;)

... how to surf. The room they put us in the first night was amazing (it wasn't actually our room for the whole stay, they just upgraded us for a night for free). It was the suite and had a huge terrace ( about 25ft by 25ft) over looking the beach, it was amazingly pimp. We got out drinks and enjoyed the sunset on our terrace. It was so pimp and so beautiful.
