The hotel overall was very accommodating. We were offered complimentary champagne while checking in and a golf cart ride to our room because it was pouring down rain. The rain didn't stop for three days so the hotel staff actually built bridges so that guests wouldn't have to walk through the water.
There are seven restaurants on the resort grounds and all have pretty decent food, except the late night buffet (but what do you expect?). The staff is responsible for different activities throughout the day (zumba, beach volleyball, game room, etc.) and the resort holds nightly shows at their theater so there is always plenty to do. We saw the Michael Jackson concert and were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel also allows multiple companies to work out of their activity area in order to assist you in booking excursions. We used the company Best Day and were very impressed with the professionalism the representative showed. She was amazing!
I loved that the Resort was Eco friendly and that there were wild animals walking around us at all times and that they placed recycling bins near the walkways for you to place your reusable cups in. All of our drinks were given to us in either glass or plastic recyclable cups.
We read other reviews before our trip that mentioned an overwhelming amount of mosquitos or that the beach shouldn't be walked on barefoot. We, however, didn't encounter any of these issues. Overall, I was very happy staying at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort & Spa.

It was a great vacation. The grounds and buildings are beautiful Mexican style decor. The service was good and the food at the buffet was outstanding. There are several restaurants at the resort that served good food. It's an all inclusive resort, so there was plenty to eat and drink. Water sports and para-sailing makes for fun adventures.

Unfortunately, our breakfast had to end and the actual meeting to begin. We left the restaurant and he briefly showed us a few show rooms of all of their accommodations, all of which were gorgeous of course. Once ...

Hahah I couldn't believe it, I was in swimming around about 30 odd sharks in the tropical oceans of Belize, another moment I could only feel sheer disbelief. Carlos jumped in and joined us for this one and before we knew it Carlos was down on the ocean floor picking up a sting ray and placing it over his arms. Again I was like, "oh my god are ...

... you actual travel there you really don't understand just how remote the place is. It's the last resort on the very southern tip of the island and the only way to get there is to take one lonely road far outside of civilization. It's actually located not in Cozumel but in the remote southern town of El Cedral. There's pretty much nothing else there except this hotel!

The flight from Toronto only took 3.5 hours, when we got there it was really warm just as we had hoped and people were being nice and helpful (and offering us tequila) from the moment we stepped outside the airport. We arrived late in the afternoon so didnt do too much else that day, although it was very exciting for us going for dinner at the hotel and being able to order an appetizer, main, and dessert and having whatever cocktails and drinks ...
