All inclusive

... sushi.

Two amazingly beautiful nice people who for whatever reasons I got along with more then anyone else I can think of. I hope to remain life long friends with them and have a re do in the future! Then I met Yaritsa. Everything seemed to click on an epic scale for me with her. Flashes of a certain someone came rushing back. My time with her was just simply amazing. She was street smart ...

    One of our best holidays

    from sunset60

first time to the dominican republic and was very impressed. just got back after a week feb 4,2003. hotel[altho not on the beach] was part of the riu complex and only a short walk to the beach. beaches: wonderful and could go for long walks or jogs along wonderful stretch as far as you want. altho there were alot of people never felt crowded and could always find beach lounges. wasn't alot of motorized sports so not noisey. hotel: run with excellence. clean rooms with all amenities. quiet , even tho front lobby was 2 floors down. staff always pleasant and accommodating. clean towels , hot water and always bottled water . staff; friendly and hard working. atmosphere very good and could tell moral was high--think because the manager was very "hands on' and was very visible. always something going on at pool and staff excellent. well organized.dinig room : great food and service. Just a word of advice- because there is such a large selection choose italian one night ,pizza another fish another night etc. easy to try a little bit of everything but then begins to all taste the same and looses it's appeal. one night they had devils coffee which was coffee with 5 different kinds of liquer and sugar. also got hooked on the freshly made doughnuts dipped in sugar and cinnamon. great seafood altho shrimp always went quickly. our pool one of the nicest, and loved the choice of going to other riu hotels for breakfast or lunch or other activities. the riu complex was so clean and carnival night on caribbean street was entertaining. we have been to mexico about 6 times and loved this place much more. don't waste your time taking bavarro runners tour as it is over-rated and expensive.

Amazing - from a world class traveler

    from anonymous

Hello! Firstly, i would like to say that i have traveled quite a bit, especially in the domincian republic. I have stayed in Catalonia Bavaro, Allegro Resort, and now the Rui. The entire design of these hotels is great. Imagine having paid for one hotel, but access to 4! You can eat wherever you would like, except during dinner time, and the Riu palace. Other than that you can use ALL THE OTHER FACILITIES! This is a great system and we are coming back for more. As far as the anti - U.S.A feeling over there, it's not whta people say it is. There were simply more Canadians, and Europeans than people from the U.S. And hey, EVERYONE loves American $$$$$. So, be smart, and be safe. Also, if you buy jewelry, in particular silver MAKE SURE IT HAS A NUMBER STAMPED ON IT "925" Which INDICATES IT"S SILVER! Other than that have a great trip and PARTICIPATE IN The ACTIVITIES . YOU'll have a blast !

    The best in the Caribbean

    from anonymous

If your looking to be pampered & have a lot of fun, this is an awesome place to go. I have be on 8 trips in the past 3 years in the caribbean & this was by far the best. The staff is always so happy & ready to make you stay enjoyable. The food was great. The room was very nice, a real bar in everyroom. I mean free beer, rum & pop at all times. Doesn't get beeter than that.

BTW I am a 39 year old women that went with my 14 year old son. We both just loved it. Great for all ages.

    Suited to european's

    from anonymous

keep in mind that everything is suited towards europeans ( meals, entertainment, etc)

make sure that you don't mention that you are form us, if you will you will be charged for everything possible

ex: I got sick and the first question that i was asked was if i am from us not thinking i said yes

that cost me $65.00 for a visit to the doctor on premises and $20.00 for ear drops

When talking to couple from Germany they said that they needed med attention and did not pay anything.

In conclusion, if you want to have a good time -don't mention that you are from us

make sure that you take aid kit

take long pants( you are not allowed to dine in shorts) must have long pants.

    Best bang for the buck

    from anonymous

We got off on the wrong foot. Seems that while we were on the bus at the PUI airport, my wife's jewelry was stolen out of our carry-on case. The Apple rep didn't seem overly concerned either. Hotel front desk people were far more helpful and go to extreams to make your stay enjoyable.

Food quality was good, but the steakhouse is a bit overrated. Because of language barriers among visitors, shows are limited- but good.

Considering how many people there were from europe, I'm surprized that the resorts don't offer better beers. Being a micro kinda beer guy, I found the Dominican beer to be nearly undrinkable! There were loads of mixed drinks to choose- but only one beer.

Overall, we had a great time and the resort was very clean. Room service, front desk, wait staff- all top grade.

    Good hotel!

    from Pachugita

The hotel accomodations are good for the price. The food, beach & service were also good. I was disappointed with the Apple Charter. The airline used Southeast is horrible. The staff was unprofessional and the plane is small. Otherwise, you see us back at RIU Naiboa

    Fantastic!

    from anonymous

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Riu Naiboa and had a wonderful time! The staff was excellent and very helpful, never without a smile and a friendly greeting! The beach was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen, and there is plenty to do (sightseeing, parasailing, etc.) or not do, if you choose. A helpful tip might be to eat in the 'specialty' restaurants that are included but require a same day reservation. The lobby restaurant tended to be the same each night, but the others were fantastic! The Punta Cana airport is a bit insane (thatched roof hut)and I can't imagine that they comply with FAA regulations...but great people watching non the less! I will definitely return!

    Vacation from Hell

    from anonymous

So, planning a trip to the Riu Naiboa? Well there are a few things you should know. My experience in Punta Cana was full of misery. For starters, my hotel room was robbed. There were no signs of forced entry, indicating it must have been someone from the hotel. Yet, the director insure me it was not someone from the hotel, you make your own decision about that. Anyhow, I did not find any of the people in the hotel useful when it came to recovering my green card, money, and all the articles that were stolen. My Apple Representative was just as bad as the staff in the hotel, if not worse. I must give credit to two men at the front desk, that helped me out throughout my crisis. The embassy in the Dominican Republic was terrible also. Well, overall I would think twice about going to this hotel, and most importantly DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING VALUABLE.

    Riu Naiboa

    from anonymous

On the week of January 14th I traveled to Punta Cana and had an overall good time. The staff was great, the food was good, the beaches were beautiful, but the entertainment was just OK. It was a great place the relax. There was endless activities from: beach volleyball to Spanish Class. It was hard to find silence in the resort but no one really wanted any! One night the had a street party which was fun! Another night they had venders come in so you could haggle prices with them. Overall the place was great for the price we paid. Although, I would never travel with Apple Vacations again.
