A better Day!

A Birthday to Remember

... around for 10 minutes before being retrieved, led to another room and laid out on a plastic-covered table. The masseuse covered me with a rough body scrub and oil then wrapped me up in towels. I was left to percolate for 15 minutes. She then returned, removed the towels, and squeezed halved oranges all over me, followed by a sluicing of water. I was then directed to a shower and asked to rinse off. The body scrub appeared to contain sand and silt, which didn't want ...

... that the checkpoints were mainly "not working" and that everyone was waiting for the September elections, and hoping that they would mean the end of the emergency law that allows the police to conduct the checkpoints. We passed four or five other checkpoints and found that they were indeed “not working.” Either the guards just waved us through, or just watched us go by. There was one guard tower with a rifle barrel pointing out, but ...

We got into Hurghada after sunset and took a taxi to the hotel. Since Muna was taking a flight out the next day I had contacted a couchsurfer and we all decided to get together that evening for drinks. We told the hotel owner our plans and he tried to talk us out of it saying that any Egyptian guy that would ask me to stay at his house is only looking for one thing. I tried to explain how couchsurfing was different but the hotel owner wouldn't listen so we gave up. He also tried talking ...

In Hurghada we only stayed in the hotel. It is a tourist city without any sort of cultural value. It was built because if the nice beaches and you can see them building hotels all around.

Our hotel, the Beach Albatros Hotel, was really nice and we could really relax and enjoy ourselves there. The food was awesome and since ...

Stay Away !!!!! The Worst Hotel I Have Ever Been To

    from

Firstly I would just like to say that I have never written a bad review about a hotel before, but my husband and I go on about 4 holidays a year ranging from 3-5 stars and felt compelled to warn other british travellers about this hotel.

    Schrecklich

    from

    Give this one a miss!!

    from

My daughter and I stayed here from 26 October for one truly disappointing and very long week.

Terrible Service - NOT 5 STAR!!!

    from

Please do not expect a 5 star experience at this hotel!!! We've just arrived home this morning and i feel the need to warn people exactly what to expect... We read the reviews, checked out the website and looked forward to what promised to be a fantastic last minute break.. I'm realistic, we didn't pay a fortune but we paid enough to expect good service - The hotel is new basically set in a building site, 30 minutes away from the centre £20 taxi fare.. The hotel itself is a stunning building, beautiful swimming pools (freezing cold, but lovely).. But then you meet the staff.. we arrived in the reception, our rep took out accomodation vouchers off us to hand to reception never to be seen again. The reception area was heavy with angry mainly russian customers, after nearly 2 hours of continually explaining to the reception staff that none of us had vouchers as they had already been handed to them we eventually were given a room, Not a great start but the room was nice and clean (although others said theirs weren't) we then went to the restaurant for a meal... Well its a massive canteen with hundreds of russians oushing you out of the way to get at the food (the food isn't great!!) we struggled to find clean plates and glasses, we had to clear a table ourselves and when we asked for cutlery, the waiters went around the dirty tables and collected anything that looked half clean, it was absolutely disgusting. Most people were ill all week, most likely from the food (as much of it appeared under cooked) The experience didn't improve much all week. The only way to get through it was to make sure you went for your meals bang on time, cleaned your own tables and sorted out your own crockery and cutlery.

    100%Rückerstattung der Reisekosten gefordert !!!!!!

    from

Alles in allem katasrophal. Kinderbecken unbenutzbar. Glasscherben am Strand. Höchstens drei Sterne.

    3 Wochen Überlebenstraining

    from

    from

    Not soooooooooooooooo good

    from

This hotel is far from a 5 Star and struggles to compare to some 3 star hotels i have been in. The hotel in its self is beautiful but from arriving to leaving the service is abysmal. The reception staff are unhelpful and on the first night we all had to sleep together in one bed. You had to fight over glasses and cutlery with the Russian's at breakfast and dinner and the food was very poor. My wife and my 13 year old were poorly for most of the week and on my return to the uk i am now not too good. The hotel has glimmers of hope as it does have a few very good staff members but i feel that most of them didn't care about you and really weren't expected to by the management team.

    Hat mir suuuuupergut gefallen

    from

    Loved it soooooooooooooo Much

    from

Just had to write about this hotel, it is newly opened in a very quiet area of Hurghada.Just right for relaxation, like heaven on earth. The rooms are out of this world, fabulous, the staff are superb, the food is great, the pool is enormous and you are right on the red sea.If you want to go to the centre they have a shuttle bus for about £2.30 return, just book with guest relations, they are so helpful. As are all the staff, the manager in the restraunt was fantastic, as I needed special food for medical reasons, and this was NO problem. The housekeeping could not do enough for me regarding anything you require from them.As the hotel is new I booked it as room only (fully inclusive) and got my own way there from Luxor, I only stayed a short time to try the hotel, but it was too short I wanted to stay when it was time to go back to Luxor. It was worth every penny, I felt like the owner I could not have been treated better if I had been. I have used ALL the Pyramisa hotels in Egypt which are very nice, but this one was superb as it was brand new, first time I have had a new room in a hotel.
