Overall, I just couldn't recommend Margarita though, not until something drastic changes like direct flights are back, or the mindset of the locals becomes more community and less 'me' focused. There's too much corruption - we know of at least one local with dodgy money dealing via the army - and an undercurrent that is palpable.

We hadnt been to one since paraty so had missed it. Playa agua you can tell straight away is the a tourist hub. Although it wasnt height of the season there were still alot of visitors there, and most of them were wealthy.
