          Day 9

... there was a bonfire but nobody went near it because it's just so hot here already. I talked with my friends until midnight, then packed and slept. All really good times with these people. I will never be able to forget my new friends, the people of the Dominican Republic, or the Dominican Republic itself. As corny as it is, I feel like what we did here was special and impactful. I know with all my heart this will not be my last time here. ...

... got a couple cornrows so when I get back, I'll look like a true Dominican vacationer. Afterwords, I had dinner and sat through my last talk with Georgio. Only mildly sad about that one. For leadership, we watched another TED talk and then had 2 hours of free time! I sat out and watched the stars by myself for a bit. Laying down outside in the Dominican, just staring at the beautiful palm trees above and the night sky makes me feel so in touch with myself ...

Max reps in 90 seconds (each) - squats, push ups, sit ups, pull ups. 90 seconds of rest between each set.

I rethought the meaning of life as I lay gasping like a dying fish on the floor when I ...

... 28/3 did slightly less- it was wet !!
29/3 the day dawned wet and cloudy and we went ashore at 830 to get our taxi to the falls
the plus point would be there would be more water, so faster and deeper, it proved to be true and it was even better, we also had a brilliant guide who could impersonate all the birds and get them to call him back he also did the most incredible dives jumping off several rocks and turning down headfirst after we had gone down so ...

Los veintisiete charcos (the 27 waterfalls)

So because our awesome group worked so diligently on Saturday and finished our project, Sunday morning we had a chance to go to a popular eco-tourism location: los veintisiete charcos. Roughly translated, the 27 waterfalls. Here's why I say roughly translated...charco doesn't really mean waterfall, it's like a little waterfall (it's also the word for puddle...), but there's not really an ...
