... of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life. I usually start my day at around 6:30 so I'm able to see the sunrise everyday, and in the Smokies the sunrises are magnificent. Why the Vanderbuilts of course....Next stop----Clio, ...

I have been so busy studying Italian and working on this trip, it didn't really sink in until last night how much I'll miss John.  We have never been apart this long.  Luckily we have Facetime, so we can see each other and speak daily. Well, that'll do it.  I'm looking at options for a short day in Madrid tomorrow...see you on the flip side! ...

Before I Left the First Time, I Knew I'd Be Back

... was at her local copy shop with her mother, making copies of this picture.  A woman walked in, saw the picture, pointed to Francisco, and said 'This man is my father!'  WOW!  In a town of 12,000 people, what are the odds of that?!  Mary told me that she has known this woman all her life and never knew they were related!  It seems there was a rift in that family some generations back, like in many families, and people stopped talking, ...
