At least the travel books have kept me sane. I know this will be one of the greatest experiences of my life, I just have to step outside my comfort zone and do it!

I feel as though I will never be ready to leave, I just have to do it. Everyone gets ...

Luigi lives in Rome and will meet us at the train station tomorrow night. We have a full day in Rome - I don't know where Tammi and Diane will be, but I will be communing with the ancients in the Forum! ...

Before I Left the First Time, I Knew I'd Be Back

... So I thought three weeks would work. I told Tammi. She said she'd ask for it but doubted she'd get it. When she did hear back, she called me and in a sad voice said, "Yea, I need to talk to you about the trip." I knew then she couldn't go, and I was wondering if I'd really go alone. She said, "I thought asking for two weeks would be pushing it; and that there was no way they'd let me go for three weeks." I said, "Yea I understand." ...
